Hey guys,

do any of you mix APC and dressing to do a 1 step interior detail?

Renny Doyle suggests mixing Meguiar APC and Meguiar Hyper dressing to do this. I am still waiting on my APC but am tempted to mix with something I have here.

In terms of household products what would be the equivalent of an APC?

I normally make my own stuff to clean around the house (25% vinegar mixed with 75% water and little dishwashing liquid makes a great cleaning product) and there are plenty of other mixes that can be made that outperforms stuff like Fantastic and other harsh chemicals. I don't know if it would be good for the car though.

I have some Orange Fantastic laying around somewhere, is that an APC? What about Mean Green Cleaner/Degreaser?

I've done the megs product combination before and it is just OK. Sure it spaces time but I now just clean with APC+ then dress with megs hyper. Looks more consistent to me.

You can buy products like quick interior detailer that have minor cleaning ability and dress at the same time...

I have meg's Quick Interior Detailer... doesn't do much dressing from what I can tell ;) So none of you do that for your basic packages?

I did it for a while but the look just wasn't consistent enough for me.

Meg's #40 does just that with one product.. Don't try to reinvent the wheel.

True story, although I can't fault the op for following Renny Doyle's advice.

Even though it may be a time saver, rarely do "all in one" mixtures ever excel at each specific task. Jack of all trades, master of none kind of thing.

Ok, will look into #40. Thanks for the advice.
