So I tried something today. I mixed Collinite 845 with Banana Magic from Automagic, because I have tons of it from buying a gallon. I like the Banana Wax because it is very easy to work with, leaves a great shines, but the durability is not great. So on my PCXP and soft red waxing pad I sprayed (put a trigger on the Collinite bottle) one light spray on the pad and a circle of Banana Magic. I was very happy with the results, great shine, easy on and easy off, spread super thin, used less then I would using either wax. Thought that was interesting in itself.
Has anyone else mixed to different waxes together to make a hybrid? If so any ideas as to if it is wise to do so? Does it actually boost the durability at all, or is it not really working the way I think it is?
I know many mix compound and polishes to boost the productivity of whatever they are using. Would it work the same way with waxes?

Never have tried this before. Might have to mix up something I have extra of.

I like to mix.

Two combos I like:

Collonite 845 and Megs Cleaner Wax
Megs D151 and DG 501

Anyone ever try D151 and 845? Hmmmmmmmmm..........

mmmmmm I love to mix & experiment ......yes I do
I mix spray waxes & spray sealants all the time....

I think the chemistry is a lot more complicated for "quality" products than most people think. There's no way of knowing all of the ingredients in a single formula let alone two formulas and then how they will gel together. It's possible it could work great and just as possible one ingredient won't get along with another ingredient...

No harm in trying, especially if you're working on your own car...

:D

i normally mix few liquid carnauba waxes for glazing (hiding light swirl marks) before i seal the finish with one of the best LSPs in my detailing-folio.

It's interesting, to me anyway, that you finally posted in a: "non-Yahoo related manner"!! Thanks.
