Hi!

New to the forum and must say there's a lot of good info here.

I recently starten a business selling care care products online and now want to expand the business with some detaling service.

My thoughts are to do it mobile beacuse its hard to find any good placering to rent and i only want to do it part time. However i live in Europe and in my country i havet seem man of theese and therefore i would like to get som help to how to start this type of company.

How do you do basicly do it, do you have a van with all the stuff needed i.e high pressure water and such or do you only visit People who have this tjemselves?

How you do if rain, cold or hot weather?

As you can see man noobie questions but hope that someone can help out a bit :)

I have a trailer that I pull with a Jeep Wrangler with all my detail tools and products. I go to people's homes and businesses. A pop up tent for shade is necessary. I have a 270 gallon water tank that I can take if there is no hose on site. I have a Honda generator for electricity. Gas and electric pressure washers.

Found theese online in a bookshop. The first quite expensive thogh (about 50$).

The trailer is a good option if you have a vehicle that can haul the load. If you don't I would recommend any type of service van that is big enough for the detailing equipment.
IMO, the must haves for mobile detailing are:

1. Pressure Washer - gas preffered, mounted, at least 2000 PSI
2. Water Tank - 150 gallons +, depending on how many cars you detail
3. Generator - 3000 watt, quiet
4. Shop vac - preferably one that converts to blower also. You don't need it to be huge but power is needed.
5. Extension cord - 100 ft.
6. All your chemicals, products, towels, brushes, bottles, etc need to be enclosed in storage bins.

I would also not recommend those flat bed trailers because they are exposed.

Thank you for your input, looks like you have a nice setup there! will check for the things you mention and try to find good deals.

The idea is not bad, but there are some difficulties in implementing it. I would recommend that you start by creating a website where customers can contact you online and get more information. It is much easier to conduct business relations with clients through the site

Hi SmithAlie,

Welcome to AutogeekOnline :welcome:

There's never anything wrong with replying to an older thread, I do it all the time. My first how-to articles on this forum date back to 2009 and I continue to use them today because I write them i a way that they endure the test of time.

That said, this thread is from 2017 and the person that started it hasn't been back since 2017 - and only has 6 posts. Who knows where they are at and what they are doing today.

You're advice is good and if this person ever comes back, it would be great to see how they are doing.

Again,

:welcome:

I think it would be really cool to find out how he's doing. Whether he was able to implement his idea and whether it worked. Too bad he never came back. When I was expanding my business, I first took up the site and this played a key role. The number of clients increased slightly, but it was not enough. I realized that I needed to somehow promote my site. Fortunately, I found out about the partner marketing that I decided to use. I met very responsive guys who provided me with very high-quality services for solving many issues and ppc reseller. I have never regretted turning to them for help. You may also be able to attract more customers if you follow my example

It's almost lunchtime and I'm hungry for some SPAM!

What's your point?

:dunno:

You really seem to have some kind of bone to pick with me which is fine. But replying to a specific question three years later is not okay. This thread was not an ongoing discussion, the reply was not generic. It was an answer to a question that was asked three years ago. So I replied with timely which honestly was just as helpful as that reply. But now all of a sudden I'm getting PMs from you, getting called out in public. Go ahead and read through this sub forum specifically, I'm very helpful. I've been thanked many times in public and private for my no nonsense help in running a successful business. You don't want me around just let me know absolutely no skin off my back.

And if that's the case, be sure to look up my account first because I'll be taking that business with me as well. Because when it's all said and done, I am the customer.
