Just curious how many guys here actually work out of a shop or just do mobile detailing? Or any that are doing both?

Shop, but also thinking about adding a mobile rig in the future. I started out mobile and I have old clients that would jump right back in.

Mobile out of the trunk of my car. With a tent if I need one. I just hook up to their power and water. Still haven't did waterless on a clients car but will start soon.

I work out of my shop or my home, and at the homes of few very select clients with advance notice. No typical mobile as I'm not detailing anyone's car in their driveway or parking lots.

Part timer here......out of my shop at home.

Detailing
Light metal fabrication ( build race cars)
Auto electric ( mostly wiring harnesses in hot rods and or resto's)

work a full time job (Commercial construction superintendant 40-60 hours a week )

I'm mobile with hope of garage/shop.

Dr. Pain, great space and looks great.

Pureshine, nicely set up garage.

I'm mostly mobile these days. I do have agreements with two local shops to use their premises if needed. When going from mobile to fixed location lost half of my customers due to them being spoiled with at home service.
