I'm through liberty mutual for general liability and garage keepers. Pay about 1K a year.

Ok one thing when I call them is the insurance called something specific or I just ask for insurance

Let them know you are starting a mobile detail shop and need insurance.
They should be able to walk you through what you need based on what you plan to do. Example... Drive the customers vehicle at anytime.
Read up on general liability, garage keepers and umbrella insurance so you know what they are offering you.

If mobile without comp and collision and covers damage to clients car,and insure equipment you're looking at 120 a month ,with comp looking at 300 a month thru progressive. If your moving a car 4 feet and damage something believe me it happens ,your insurance without customized detailing insurance ,your covered that's how I contracted my insurance so in essence I don't have insurance under mobile detailing, not gonna dish out 3 k a year dropped it 6 years ago.My equipment is valued at depreciation 1500 just be careful show any damage prior to detailing to customer and refrain from washing engines.

Just got my quote for GarageKeepers. My very basic policy is about $2000/yr and a $750 payment up front.
