Ok so I have a question. How are you guys cleaning the floor mats and liners when mobile? Basically what I'm trying to figure out is where is a good spot to put them once you take them out to clean without re-soiling them. I was thinking about putting something down on the ground first to put the mats on. Any tips will help.

I have clamps on the inside of my trailer door to hang them, with a fan if needed. Before I got the trailer, I would just lay them in the back of my truck bed. I would say anywhere that they will be out of the way, not forgotten and stay clean would work.....

Thanks Firehouse Mike. I like the clamp idea, but only have an suv right now. So space is tight. I just hate laying them in their driveway and then the backs get dirty.

Put them up on your roof to dry and stay clean. Or clamp then to the roof rack rails and hang down. Just don't forget them!

I have a weather tech like cargo mat from a old Tahoe I sold. I throw it down and clean my mats on it so I'm not cleaning mats on bare dirty concrete.

Great thinking! I have rack rails too, so that should work.

This is exactly along the lines of what I was looking at doing. Thanks.

Get a portable work platform. Gives you a flat clean area to work, its off the ground, and you can use it to get the roofs of larger vehicles.

Put your tailgate down if you have one and rest them on there, otherwise, lay them down on the grass. They're not heavy enough to flatten the grass into the dirt. And you wantt hat sun to dry them out. May need a quick vacuum to lift up any thing that may have landed on them but they come out spotless.

I leave them on top of my trailer in the sun (plus the heat from the aluminum on the top helps dry as well)

Oh, your right I do need a platform. Great tip.

No tailgate, but will try the grass if there is any. Thanks.

If there isn't, buy a cheap drop cloth at Home Depot and lay that down first. Or just lay them on gravel and vacuum the back with a brush attachment before putting them back in the car. The last thing I would do is hang them off the side of your car or your roof. You don't want to be driving around with water spots running down the side of your detailing rig.

I use a table with folding legs I got at home depot. Its rectangle shaped, I drive a subaru wagon and it fits across in my back seats until I take it out to setup.
