Mobile Tech Expo 2012 - Autogeek Has Arrived!

I wish I were there!

But that's mainly cause it's a lot warmer than here.

How much does it cost to go in the Expo area?

-pat
It costs $10.00 in advance or $20.00 at the door for the exhibition. "Education Day" is Thursday and is an additional $20.00.

Education day is a full day of 1 hour seminars with 3 to 5 of them going on each hour. I attended 3 of the 4 Mike Phillips did that day.

At least a dozen suppliers were selling kits or products for headlight restoration. If you have followed the AG forums you know more and better methods than any of them have to offer. Tools and schools for paintless dent removal were also very much in attendance.

This is a very well run well attended show attracting suppliers and attendees from around the world.

Hi Fred, any chance you obtained pricing for the PDR items? Both tools and schools. Thanks in advance.

The show starts in about half hour and we're ready to rock 'n' roll! :buffing:

Looks like you guys are having fun :xyxthumbs:

We are having a good time, meeting lots of new people and getting a chance to educate those that don't know how wonderful a swirl free finish is!
I could have done without Nick sharing his cold with me but besides that we are have a fantastic time!
We have met some of the nicest people in the business, great getting to make some new friends!

Be careful, someone will pass a law against enjoying your work! lol

Would be nice to be there, I think as I sit here with a box of tissues recovering from a cold.

At a glance, kits started as low as $575.00 and went up to around $1700.00. These kits would be basic core tools for the simplist of easily accesssible repairs. These kits contain from 7 to about 20 tools, several hundred are available and vary by needs. Hail repair is a field all to its own with dedicated tools and techniques.

The cost of the classes vary based on your tool purchase, where taught and types of repairs you wish to offer. I had to come home a lot sooner than I had planned as a result I could only spend a couple of hours at the Expo. There is a lot of PDR info on the web, Google is your friend.

Deals at the show for the most part were nothing too special with 10 to 15% typical.

Just wanted to share with you a few more photos from MTE. I have to say that was the best MTE we have been to. Great job by Kevin and the crew with Mobile Tech, just a great time and very packed with a great group of people!
