Mobile Tech Expo 2017 - Classes this year

Looks like a lineup of some good classes this year!

I thought to myself, "VIF app, when did that become available?" Does that count:)

So the question has to be asked how does one get the VIF app?

That mold and mildew removal is impressive as well.

Definitely a new direction as compared to the class topics I've taught the last 5-6 years.

I'm surprised no one has commented on the screen shot I posted for the new VIF App?

:)

I'd like to get that app. When will it be available?

The App will be available via iTunes. I don't know 100% the release date but it's soon.

I searched iTunes as soon as I saw you post about the app, but no hits.

I'm sitting here on the other side of the planet having my breakfast & having a quick squiz through the forum, & come across this!!! Exciting stuff! I'm looking forward to this being available & am certain this will be a fantastic tool in the day to day running of the shop. The paper version is great for sure but this will be priceless. :dblthumb2:

Forgive my ignorance Mike but is there any more info on the app anywhere that this Southern hemisphere detailer has missed? (time zones etc, I do miss stuff.) As to whether we can print a copy out for the customer, save to a file system, that kinda thing?

It looks more than just a VIF. I will impatiently wait for this to be available . . . Stella work Mike! Again you have raised the bar. Thank you! :props:

Thanks for taking the time to chime in Aaryn,

I was just in Yancy's office checking out the beta version of the App. Two words...

It's cool.

Everyone detailing cars is going to want this App because of how interactive it is and how much work it will do for you.

It's more than just getting rid of paper, it's the ability to manage your customers via the CRM built-in.

I don't know that answer but you can e-mail from the App so you can always email anything to whatever it is you have hooked up to a printer and then print it. I'll bring this up with Yancy as he's our tech guru.

Also... keep in mind their will be updates to the software as it is going to be continually improved. The first step is getting the version 1 on iTunes and then moving forward.

Everything here is a team effort.

OK, so I guess that based on Mike Phillips class sched, I prob won't be seeing ANY other classes on Thur! Like I'd have to pretty much ignore the rest of the programs due to the great content he will be delivering. I'd prob skip the extractor class.. that's about it, though!

Thanks for making it such a tough decision by providing such great topics!

See you there!

Saturday / Sunday, chance of rain.. in other words, it will rain at airport & attractions area!

Here's the splash screen or opening screen for the new VIF App...

Very cool. This is going to help a lot of guys in the car detailing industry.

Apologies Mike, Thank you team! :props:

I don't know all the details of the App, & already I know this will be an important tool in the day to day running of the shop. Not only limited to the shop either, its another staff member thats with you all the time, everywhere you go! Seems the App is going to offer a whole lot more than I first imagined too.

Very excited about this, I remember close to the end of 2016 there was a thread about the best innovations in the industry for 2016 (iBrid won that I believe, & deserved) this App has to be a lead runner for 2017 at least as from a business standpoint.

Mike, you're right - most devices are compatible with a wireless printer nowadays but yes, as you pointed out, an email with pictures, price estimates, scheduled appointment times etc - (geeze, even an appointment reminder option would be nice) I know I would be impressed if I received such an email. :xyxthumbs:

I'm sure you will let us know when its up on iTunes Mike? Outstanding work team.

I didn't make any of the classes on Thursday. I got there at 7:45 and there were 350 people in line ahead of me (I counted). I am at a place in my life that I dont wait in lines. I suggest that next year they mail the credential package and avoid the lines. I wouldve paid extra to get it mailed.

Sorry to hear about this, the classes were fun and very well received.

Hopefully MTE will be more streamlined for next year.

Hi Mike, I only attended the event on Friday this year, but it was great to see you, Megan, and Jason again! I enjoyed your 'Expert in your home town" class, and the IDA panel you were on with Renny and Jason Rose was very informative.

If you have the chance to attend Mobile Tech, it is worth the time. The classes are very informative, and you get a chance to meet and talk with many of the top detailing supply companies. I attended the last 2 years, and the number of detailing booths increased greatly in the one year.
This show still has more PDR booths and attendees, but it is interesting to see that side too.
