YouTube THIS is what you are looking for if I'm correct, just don't know fitting size/description etc. but this is about the best video currently available
It's your pump. It's bad. Get a Shurflo 12v on demand. $60 on Amazon. I run this off a 100 gallon tank to a 2.6gpm Subaru powered gas pressure washer. Never had a problem supplying water even running the pressure washer for 10 minutes straight. It only runs when there's demand, so only when you pull the trigger.
SHURFLO 4008-101-A65 New 3.0 GPM RV Water Pump Revolution, 12V - - Amazon.com
, a good pump doesn't even need to be gravity fed.
For those still following the thread, I wired up the new Shurflo pump and it works like a dream! Thanks for all the advice and recommendations guys!

@JustJesus where did you find the hose (looks like 1/2 fittings on ends) the issue most times is fitting, when you get a shurflo pump with male fitting the fittings are usual 1/2 and need to converted or adapted to 3/4
