Modern Marvels TV Show..Simonize GlassCoat

I dont hold much faith in a company doing their own testing and acting its the Sh*t. Running thru a carwash is different then living in a area where it rains alot and dealing with enviromental rain like here in the Seattle area. So if that is a "Dealer only option" whats the cost like $800 so they can put in the financing? Ill pass.

I want a durable product I can put on the Sport.. and possibly shine up the Pop. I've narrowed to roughly two items which are both a bit older... NuFinish and Liquid Glass. Both have their followings.. and I know other items exist, but again I am looking for durability as #1

Check out Collinite 845 Insulator Wax. Its a liquid sealant wax that lasts longer than the NuFinish while also providing a shine worthy of a carnauba based paste wax. Any of the Collinite products will do. Another product which many swear by for longest durability is Finish Kare 1000p.

If you have any other questions create your own thread for it as this is off topic for this thread.

last night i watched the modern marvels tv show about waterproofing. The last segment was on auto waxing and waterproofing and paint protection.

they highlighted a product from simonize as being state-of-the-art science for paint protection. It’s called simonize glasscoat and it comes with a guarantee of 7 years of protection. The did a 50/50 test on the hood of a car; they ran the car through 100 industrial car washes; the simonize side still looked great with beading and shine.

anyone else hear of this stuff or have experience with it?

thanks!

simoniz is a very easy to use product if u have some knowledge of how to wax a car. The warranty is what lasts. The product does hold up for a time but does break down if not maintained. I have been putting simoniz on cars for years and the company is not too worried about how or even if it is applied correctly or at all. 2 different dealerships i worked for over the course of 13 years only one simonize rep has ever come out one time the show us how to use it and that was early in my career. It is a warranty in my experience and should b viewed as such.
