Whoda thunk it! A wash brush that doesn't scratch your finish, saves your back and pocketbook in the long run :props:

This brush is a lifesaver for me. I'm 26 but I do have my share of my back problems. I hated buying a new wash mitt every 6 months or so. I caved, shelled out the money for this brush and I don't regret it for a second.

The brush holds a good amount of water but not so much that it weighs itself down, another plus for me.

I used this brush with Meguiars Hyper Wash which worked perfectly with this brush. I need to get some more on that note.

My truck is a Aspen Green 2006 F150 ext. cab 6.5ft bed 4x4. Normally it takes me 2 - 2 1/2 hours to wash and clean it up. Now I cut that time by literally 1/2. Including cleaning the windows & dress the tires.

Now let's talk about the only con I have with this brush. The smell!! Granted this is a natural boars hair brush, but I never woulda thought it was straight off the boar with no initial washing first! It's been 4 days since I last washed the truck and the smell is only barely lingering on the brush anymore. The smell does eventually calm down when the brush dries. The brush does not smell at all when first taken out of the box.

That night though, I thought my dog farted up something forbidden but come to find, it was the brush! I was floored by this and laughing out loud. By now I'm sure you can tell I'm no country boy lol! So the brush sits outside 24/7 on my balcony hanging upside down. Packaging was perfect. Box was not ripped, taped up tightly.

I can deal with the smell so long as the brush keeps working as it should and it stays outside. The brush gets 9/10 10 being the best. I will post some pics of my truck tommorow.

Yeah I have to agree about the smell .When wet . But mine hangs in my garage so its not that bad for me .But it is a great brush for when i do my wifes Pacifica .Or when I do a customers SUV .

I've been on the fence about these for a few weeks now. I really want to pick one up because washing my lifted jeep is becoming a tedious task instead of a relaxing one. I just don't know if the brush would induce swirls.....

I LOVE MY BOARS HAIR BRUSH!!!! I have had mine for years, same one has been an important staple in my supply cabinet and YES I wash my black vehicles with it and NO I don't have swirls! I love it, especially with the handle you can get the roof of the car so easy! Glad there is another out there and appreciates it as much as I do.

hey Meghan, I was just reading another thread, what is the proper technique when using the boars hair brush? I mean besides using the two bucket method....

:iagree: Also, will OXO be selling buckets again any time soon?

I to have the boars hair brush (the round one with the pole). I bought it to use on my dk blue metallic Escalade and it worked like a charm. I didn't notice any odor when using but than again I live just off the ocean and perhaps the tide was coming in.LOL

Rockstrws6 - I pretty much let the brush do the work for me. Just keep the brush in full contact with the surface and let it do the rest. Just like using a PC. My $.02

My truck wasn't too bad to begin with but I felt comfortable washing an entire panel without going back to the bucket. I washed 2 panels at a time without breaking a sweat.

I hauled some stuff today and had to make a few runs to the city dump so now I have a good excuse to use it again, woohoo!! lol!

I use mine with the handle, as for proper technique, you just dunk it in the bucket get lots of suds on it and I just use it on the vehicle in a back and forth motion. Think of it like vacuuming, I use the same pattern in which I vac with. I will blast the brush with a quick spray of water before putting back in the bucket if my car is really dirty.

Appears they are discontinuing them.
