Ugh, I know how you feel. I literally got sick from all the deals (staying up 24 hours multiple days in a row filling my shopping cart and checking out over 9 times) My name is Ryan, and I have a problem.

Yeah..... about that.

I just wish they'd let you get the same deal that PBMG sells on ANY of their sites, during ANY of the uhhhhh "12 Days". (Or during cyber hours for that matter.)

I remember one year, you could put the items in your cart, wait for the next, put them in your cart, so on and so on.

End of the day AG sold the same amount of product(s), *much MUCH more in my instance* yet they actually SAVED on packing, processing, and shipping cost.

Now you have to process 6, 8, 9 or more orders on ONE site. Then go to another site (all under the same PBMG roof) and try and keep up with all those sales.

One will have free shipping. The other free at XXX$ amount, another BF at one price, another BOGO, yet they ALL come in the same door, and out the same door. (FWIW, the BF 8oz coating is cheaper than the BOGO 4oz bottles.) ;)

Buuuuutttttt....... that means you have to make an order specially from the Blackfire site.

OR..... just to add to the confusion... you can order Autogeek products directly off the Amazon site (where you may actually get free shipping). :dunno:

Imagine what a madhouse your local grocery store would be if when you went there and you had to go to a different register for every sale, then schlep it all to your car, then come back inside and check out all over in order to get the best price. You wouldn't just hate it, but the employees would hate you for it as well.

Just take my money already!

You spoke my mind exactly!

Each company has their own interesting marketing plans...
PBMG - Sales every week, different ones on all their sites, always with minimum of 75-150 for free shipping
TRC - Free samples with EVERY shipment, free shipping on orders over $30
CG - Who knows? lol... 5 different products that all do the same thing... and product descriptions that reek of early 2000's SEO with the same few words repeated every other sentence... most confusing product lines, but aparently it works.

All I know is I love sales, and this is not a good time of year for my debt to income ratio

Whenever I go shopping with my wife she's always checking circulars and looking for coupons. Sometimes even going from one store, than to another only to go back to the first store Im the MANIm the MAN. I look at her like she's crazy and I say something like "for a couple of dollars is it really worth all that time you spend". :dunno: Now I see what she means. To shop on the PBMG sites, TRC, CG, Amazon and a few other websites you really have to be a shark. You spend so much energy calculating and fishing around to get the best deals. And right after you've spent so much and say okay I think I'm done, AG comes out with some new sale. Oh and let's not forget, we just had SEMA and all the new must have products come out between now and march.

I only buy products when I need them...period, not just because it's on sale, or to have the stuff sitting there for months. In my dumber days, I fell for every sale and I still have boxes of products I've never opened. In the meantime new products appear every day making everything before a wasted purchase. I'm older and wiser now and more importantly a whole lot richer. Glad I learned that lesson when I was young so now I have the means to enjoy things I never would have had I kept burning money on detailing stuff.

This is what I'm trying to do. I didn't buy a single detail product over BF and that's HUGE for me.

Just curious....who is TRC? These new supply outlets seem to keep popping up and perhaps I've missed one. It's not ringing a bell.

The Rag Company, for getting microfiber towels... Hurry, hide before the mods find out we're talking about a competitor ;)

Me neither. :D

Why you ask?

Because they'll have another sale, or "The 12 Days", or the Wolfgang, Pinnacle, Blackfire or Autopia site ALL with the same product (s). And ALL at different prices. Go figure! :dunno:

As for Chemical Guys...
One word comes to mind.... Byzantine!!!

Oh... TRC = The Rag Company

And speaking of rags...
MFT = Microfiber Tech (Which also sends free samples. Last ones I got had 2 Korean waffle weaves and a bunch more!) ;)

Yep, just the discounted gift certificate. I thought you could oh by one at time, that probably a good thing though.

Hey CarDaddy thanks for bringing this up, your point makes a lot of sense with the way you look at it.

For the past twelve months, we've been developing a plan that starting in January there will be independent entities within PBMG. They will operate independently with their own staff, product planning, etc. Similar to 3M with Meguiar's, GM with Buick/Cadilliac/Chevy, etc. You don't go to a Buick dealership to buy a Cadillac do you?

Stay tuned for some awesome changes. :props:

You might...if the Buick dealer also sold the exact same Cadillacs as the Cadillac dealership, and the Chevrolet dealer sold the exact same Chevys and Cadillacs and Buicks, and sometimes the Chevy dealer sold the Buicks and Cadillacs cheaper than the Cadillac dealership sold the Cadillacs and Buicks. And other times the Buick dealership has a sale where they waived the destination fee on all makes, but at the same time the Cadillac dealer had a 15 percent off sale on those same cars, but you did have to pay the destination charge.

...And all the dealerships were owned by Roger Penske.

Ex-freaking-zactly!!!
Don't know about where y'all live.... But here... quite a few Chevrolet dealerships also sell GMC & Buick. And ALL GMC dealerships are GMC / Buick lots (and used to be Pontiac of course), with quite a few also being Cadillac dealerships as well.

The thing about the PBMG lineup is ALL the sites sell ALL the products. (Although some seem to limit the selection/sizes more than others.)

The reality is it costs more to have completely independent sites, sales, staff, accounting departments (likely bank accounts and ledgers in this instance), plus independent order processing, packaging (as in boxes & tape), even shipping (vendor) accounts... than selling it all in the same box, from the same cart.

I know Amazon figured it out... seems to work just fine for them. ;)

(And that's if your order comes from their fulfillment warehouse(s) or is shipped by outside vendors. One page, one cart, one payment, whether it's 1 box or a dozen.) :)

Cudos to PBMG for "Autopia Connect".... the detailing supply house version of Amazon Prime. :)
