Adding 2 more of these to my shop. I already have 2 but, you can never have enough lighting!

1,800+ lumens per LED tube. They are 18 watts each. And the color is 5000 Kelvin. With a CRI of 85.

Nice!

I can't wait to get mine installed finally. 1pm tommorrow just in time for two details this weekend.

I finished the ceiling, wired in my surround sound, and have (4) 4ft 2 bulb T5 units being installed for a total fo 36k+ lumens to light up my garage. I am working on the sides this week.

I would love to build a garage and have one of those light tunnels like you see in auto manufacturer's final inspection/quality control checkpoints.

Awesome, always can use more quality illumination, won't be long and the heat will be blasting and snow flying. Yuck!

Got 2 extra 4' LED's mounted up today. Just have to install 2 outlets. Tested with extension cords and no shadows at all. They are directional so have them adjusted accordingly. Just waiting on 1 more for the front that will be installed on the ceiling and be adjusted for engine bays.

All mounted and wired 2 new outlets for the rear lights. I'm gonna install one more perpendicular to the 4 right in front where I put another outlet in. Lighting should be perfect for me then.

Hello everyone! New to the community and first time posting. Jeremy. Lights look awesome and set up is very nice and clean. I wanted to see the process and how you came to decide on this setup and influencing factors as I am currently in the market for better lighting. I have already ordered and waiting for a detail light from scangrip which has had some very good feedback besides the price tag. I wanted to see what you or anyone else could enlighten me with info or knowledge on his product. Thanks!

Can you explain by what you mean when you say they are "directional"?

I was wondering about that myself.

On each bulb at the end on both sides (end caps) there is a little button you can depress and turn the bulb maybe a 1/4 turn one way or the other. You do both sides the same and they lock in place. So, instead of the light transmitting straight down, you can angle it to either side. I have all the outside bulbs that are closest to the walls facing straight down. The inside bulbs are all facing towards the middle of the garage where I detail. I have no dark spots or shadows this way in any corner or spot of the garage.

Hope this makes sense.

I have found that not all bulbs are like this. Not sure if it matters or not but mine are industrial quality. I client of mine works for a company that installs industrial lighting in factories and companies to meet and exceed lighting regulations. I got them from him. The only one that is not from him is the 8ft one in the front. Those bulbs are not directional. Just straight down.

Thanks for the clarification, Jeremy. I had no idea you could angle fluorescent bulbs, as it's been years since I had to buy new ones.

Which is more desirable for detailing, Crystal White Glow (5000K) or Daylight Glow (4000K)?
