what is the most AGGRESSIVE compound you have ever used?

3m Heavy Duty Compound.
Serious stuff there, I use to use it all the time many years back with a rotary and a wool pad.
Great for heavy corrections but must be careful when using it with a rotary or you'll burn the paint down to the metal.

Oh yeah I remember using that too..... Back in the day...

That stuff would burn right through the metal it was so aggressive... :buffing:

Karn's Big Bite Compound is a Rocks-n-Bottle compound. Works great on oxidized gel coats using a rotary

+1 XMT #4, cut through Subaru clear by hand with the orange foam on a Eurofoam(tri-foam) pad. Turtle wax Rubbing Compound is just nasty. Never really used it on paint.

Farecla Profile 100 - NOT recommended for paint. Use it with a twisted wool pad as the last step before switching to wet sanding on gel coat only. Use it by hand for small defect removals on gel coat from time to time as well.

Chemical Guys paint correction (no.700) is listed as being able to remove 800 to 1100 grit sanding marks. But I can say for a fact this stuff went right through some heavy orange peel. It also does a great job of cleaning some really bad headlights, even some I thought I was going to have to wet sand.

How does m105 stack up to those listed here

Well if your removing 3000 grit on a rotary and wool pad. (Generally speaking)

M105 removes it at 1500 speed for it to cut through.

And for

3M rubbing compound (same as above^) will cut at 1000 speed.

I wonder how Menzerna FG400 would work with rotary, wool pad and 3000 grit.
