Most durable wipe on....

You are certainly correct, I have a near full bottle of CquartzUK and thought about that, but it’s a car that gets traded every year and I don’t want to expend the effort nor have somebody put on a coating. . I also don’t like the fact that all my coatings I’ve done in the past, (3 cars) were susceptible to water spots. So I think I’ll just go with a wipe on or spray/rinse product this time ....

thanks for your suggestion guys, I think I’ve made my decision:
*Essence/orbital
*Wipe on blackfire si02
*Spray/ rinse hydr02 lite every 60-90 days.....
* Maybe.........do the front grill area with CQUK to make love bugs come off easier....

With all the crap that I already own thats just sitting on my shelf, I just can’t justify springing for the additional cost of can coat or anything else… And it’s a leased car.

Sounds like a plan, good luck to you.:xyxthumbs:

Thanks- I have a shower stool that works well.....When you have diminished lung capacity it’s more about pressing down, contorting the body to do the grill and rockers, the roof etc. it’s not so much as just standing, I was being simplistic… Take care of your lungs, I haven’t smoked in 30 years but It still came back to haunt me a bit.....

My health is so so, I don’t really work on my car too much anymore. But I certainly like a clean car. So I can muster up the effort annually to polish/treat the car with car Pro essence gloss enhancer using my orbital, and then I have a question. Which of the below products that I own would be the most durable? Once a month I use a touchless car wash down the street That is easy on my car, I just set it for rinse with none of their harsh wash chemicals. I Really only only need to knock the dust off the car from the condo garage, it never really gets too dirty as I’m not driving much these days.So how would you rank the below products for spray and wipe or spray on/hose off? I realize how to apply all the different products listed below. I am looking for the most durable, not really the most glamorous or glossiest…This is for the BMW X2 listed below if the paint composition/hardness matters.

Carpro Hydro2 lite?
carpro reload
blackfire si02 spray
gyeon wetcoat
mckees 10 min paint sealant
blackfire crystal seal
Meguires hybrid ceramic spray.

Bottom line: is any one of these better than the others when it comes to durability?

thank you in advance

Well if you are doing it once a month, washing it and using a spray.

As long as you have a good solid base like Wolfgang DGPS as an example that lasts a long time, and it really does. If you machine apply it and let it sit for about 30 to 45 mins it just basically falls off the car when you are removing it. That's how easy it is to work with, and yeah it really is, almost no effort.

You can just use something like Wolfgang Deep Gloss Spritz (Spray) and you would be fine. Easy to work with, just spay on and wipe off, and it wipes off easy.

So it sounds like you will be doing a rinseless wash on the car yourself? If that is true I would recommend a product that can be applied wet, and used during the wash. I use Adam's H20 Guard & Gloss, and realized that it was about all that was protecting my wife's car (garaged when not in use a few times a week) for about 18 months. I usually apply a paint sealant twice a year, but pretty sure I forgot for a while. I did add the G&G to my wash process about every 2-3 months during that time, and it beaded well.

I use it as part of my rinseless routine - wash a section, spray on the G&G, spread/level with a damp towel, and wipe with a Griot's 16x16 PFM. It can be used on all surfaces - paint, trim, windows, etc. and leaves a great look and slickness. I am sure there is a similar product sold here on AG, but feel free to PM me for more info on G&G.

Thanks guys but I’m not interested in buying another single product based upon the plethora of products that I have on my Detailing shelf from a year or two ago of “buying the next big thing” I really want to make what I have work, and I think I’ve come up with that plan.......as listed above in post #21

Again thanks for all your suggestions

So far so good for me..smoked for over 50 years and still can detail without running out of breath.
