most economical iron remover?

I just ran out of Iron X and after research and reviews am going to try 3D's product for cost and multi use (paint and wheels).

I used the Nanoskin Iron remover once and never again. Huge waste of money. I did a side by side with Iron X and it barely removed any iron contamination. I had to finish the car with Iron X. Was trying to find something more economical when I came across Nanoskin but in the end I got taken. The YouTube commercial I saw is obviously false advertisement because it didn't come close to working as stated.

I hate to hear you say that. I bought some last night...

Yea it either doesn't work well or Iron X is just 3X more concentrated. It did work a little but I sprayed test panels to compare and it barely touched what the Iron X could. Trust me I was bummed too. I have another ferrous product I am going to try soon.

Give Meguiars D101 APC a try.

I find this product works surprisingly well for removing iron fallout.
Use a 1:1 Dilution ratio, or even stronger of needed.
Make sure to wash it off the panel surface thoroghly.
Good idea to follow with a detail spray or some form of LSP when finished cleaning.

I have a dumb question...could that purple stuff, coming off the wheels, stain the driveway? thanks

Please let us know what you think comparing the two.

Just rinse it off with water. I do this in my garage and have had no staining issues.

I've used both the 3D and the carpro. I think the Carpro is slightly stronger (and I do mean SLIGHTLY).

That being said, I use the 3D. The price point is right and it still works great.

Thanks my man for your input!

Interesting. This certainly would be the most cost-effective method of iron removal. My interest is peaked. I've never heard of D101 being used for this purpose before now.

I've tried both Iron X and 3D BDX. Didn't notice a difference.

What tests have you done to ensure it works at removing iron fallout?
