My geographical area would never be
able to support your apriorisms.
Bob
I don't think my geographic area would either, lol.
I am also by no means suggesting that I, or anyone else, should start charging ridiculous amounts of money, not at all.
All I am suggesting is that maybe there is a pay scale increase that is more reflective of the auto detail profession in 2015 and moving forward, vs 1995 prices.
Something more reasonable and realistic that is both a win / win for the professional and the customer.
This would be an adjustment for both parties involved.
In order to charge more, the customer has to be willing to pay more.
The average customer would have to be more educated and informed as to what exactly auto detailing really is.
While that has come along way over the years, it is the endless uphill challenge when dealing with customers.
I am sure every auto detailer has been asked the question:
"You charge $$$ to wash a car''?
There are certainly fantastic mediums of technology, such as the internet, to advertise, educate, and display what exactly you do as an auto detailer.
Even still, most customers don't fully read everything you have to say or may not watch your videos.
Many do not even use a computer.
So, you get asked the same questions repeatedly, and the answers and information have already been thoroughly covered.
So, moving forward on price point would be one more uphill thing to have to do as an auto detailer.
It would include many challenges.
One may even lose some customers in the process.
I do think there is a win/win situation for everyone in the long run.
