Most Expensive Auto Detailers

My geographical area would never be
able to support your apriorisms.
Bob

I don't think my geographic area would either, lol.

I am also by no means suggesting that I, or anyone else, should start charging ridiculous amounts of money, not at all.
All I am suggesting is that maybe there is a pay scale increase that is more reflective of the auto detail profession in 2015 and moving forward, vs 1995 prices.
Something more reasonable and realistic that is both a win / win for the professional and the customer.

This would be an adjustment for both parties involved.
In order to charge more, the customer has to be willing to pay more.
The average customer would have to be more educated and informed as to what exactly auto detailing really is.
While that has come along way over the years, it is the endless uphill challenge when dealing with customers.
I am sure every auto detailer has been asked the question:
"You charge $$$ to wash a car''?

There are certainly fantastic mediums of technology, such as the internet, to advertise, educate, and display what exactly you do as an auto detailer.
Even still, most customers don't fully read everything you have to say or may not watch your videos.
Many do not even use a computer.
So, you get asked the same questions repeatedly, and the answers and information have already been thoroughly covered.

So, moving forward on price point would be one more uphill thing to have to do as an auto detailer.
It would include many challenges.
One may even lose some customers in the process.
I do think there is a win/win situation for everyone in the long run.

Nice info it's all up to how the customer wants to spend his money.I charge for boats planes rv ,flat fee per day cause these thing can take some time to do .cars I charge by the hr ,there's a lot of factors involved when doing cars .And if u have some type of college degree,I would not do this for a living .ive been doing this for 23 years ,it's a tough business to scale.I would want the same pay every week,Or detail full time and school at night, and when u get the detailing bug out of you ,u got something to fall back on .Also depends where you live ,can you sustaine detailing in the winter ,A true detailer is only worth what the customer will pay,If you aim at 50 to 60 a hr they will tell you no thanks ,and go to the local car wash.Forget about those 10 k jobs we are in a crappy economy how many of those 10 k jobs u think ur gonna get,If u can pay rent car payment health insurance food clothing etc and u are closing 10 k jobs ,ur not gonna change that here in the U.S. ,u will need Floyd may weather ,clients I don't think I could polish a car for 60 hrs ,I would go stir crazy .Best of luck.

If I bought a 350 k car and it need to be sanded ,I wouldn't call Paul dalton if that's his name,I would bring it back to the dealer let them deal with it and spend 10 k in fact 2k ,I didn't mention a thousand cause I today day and age some people will pay that.

If you pay 10 k to have you're car detailed ,u are a insecure retard,I don't care if u put that 9 k zymol on it ,that's just me ,and if they get it good for them,If someone tries to sell 5 k 10 k detail ,and gets it ,I will fly to where ever you are pay u to teach me ,

They don't have special buffing skills ,they have bs skills ,and I want to learn.

It must suck if you spend $10k to have your car detailed - and it starts raining on the way home.

:(

I watched Fast' N Loud last night and the dude charged $2500!!

Yeah I saw that guy ,he is probably a good detailer, but I don't think I would hand over keys to him based on his appearance.looks like a heaven metal band high school drop out.

In big metro cities people always no there gonna pay more as to suppose to to Florida

Tell that to Joe at Superior Shine, and a host of other elite detailers out of Florida. Your services are worth what you value them at, and what your clients value them at. Nothing more, nothing less. You are robbing yourself by sitting in the muddy middle among everyone else's prices.

Yeah it sucks when people judge others by how they look or even how horrible the sentence structure, punctuation and vocabulary are.

They play "Heaven Metal" at the Progressive church across town.

Out of curiosity, how many days did that take, and did you do it solo?
