Most Under Rated Product?

FourStar Ultimate Paint Protection sealant because it's stunning on any vehicle, and makes the painted surface look like that coating that's on candy coated apples.

I agree 100%. I just applied a coat 2 weeks ago and the results were outstanding.

Stoner products like trim shine and window cleaner. Great stuff

I agree, I also utilize their rinseless product as something that I can find over the counter for a decent price that I can use for clay dilution, spray detailer, or actual wash dilution. Now, they do recommend a 2oz per gallon wash dilution that I haven't been able to test yet compared to Optimum's blue formula rinseless wash solution, but it's something that I'm looking forward to testing. Since I'm using mostly 2.5 gallons of water per car I use, I am using at least 4oz of TW's product per wash, but I haven't noticed any wash induced marring added to the vehicle, and I'm actually wondering if TW purchased Optimum's first rinseless solution to their lineup or came up with something "slightly" original. It smells very similar to Optimum's first solution that I had experience with and I have to admit that I found no problem with that product at all.

Are you sure about the 2oz, my bottle recommends 4oz per 2 gallons, although you'd probably be ok with 2oz if you car wasn't real dirty, but I always use 4oz and pre-soak panels with a "waterless wash" version of it that I made.

Two excellent products that get very little attention here are Lucas Slick Mist Spray Wax and All America Car Care Bug Remover Concentrate. The Bug Remover works great - just spray on, let sit for a few minutes and most bug guts come off with little or no scrubbing, just a strong stream of water. It is potent but does not seem to impact on the LSP at all. The beauty of this bug remover is mostly in the value. You can put one ounce in a quart spray bottle, or dilute further or make it stronger depending on how you find it works for you. It is cheap too with a whole gallon costing only $30 so this stuff will last you a long, long time. As a bonus, it is environmentally friendly because it uses "green" technology in its formulation and is therefore bio-degradable.

Lucas makes great automotive products and have been around forever, so I thought I would try their Slick Mist Spray Wax. I was pleasantly surprised in its value, versatility and performance. It is a super value being even a tad cheaper than the top rated DG AquaWax, which is very similar to Lucas in many ways. It is a great drying aid and, as the name suggests, it is very slick as your microfiber just glides over the paint during the application and buff. It leaves a nice shine and could be considered sort of a QD on steroids. It also works on a clean, dry car as a "topper". Also like AW, it can be used safely on paint, trim, chrome and glass. I consider Slick Mist to perform the same as AW - and that is saying a lot. AW can be difficult to find in stores and my local NAPA and CarQuest do not carry the DG line at all. The advantage to Slick Mist is that it is available not only on-line from many web sites, but can also be found in all the local auto supply stores and even WalMart, where I buy at $8.49 for 24 oz. Slick Mist's ease of use, price, versatility and wide availability, (not to mention the incredible grape bubble gum smell!) makes it a strong contender for top stop in my detailing supply arsenal.

What is the ratio of product to water in your "waterless wash" version?

Maybe not the most underrated, but underrated nonetheless;
Megs NXT Glass Cleaner.

Yes, I will wash with at least 4oz of product if I'm using anything more than 2 gallons of water with my wash. Their recommended dilution oz/gal ratio comes out to 2oz/1gal - or 4oz/2gal.

surf city garage is improving their line while introducing new products. dylan who used to work for adams polishes now works for surf city (research & development IIRC) and i'm sure he'll be a great addition to the team. he has a write-up on DB with their products...

I saw that. They have some new videos, and an intriguing professional line of chemicals.

Duragloss Fast Clean and Shine gets my vote if I had to pick just one. Great gloss, shine slickness, and it doesn't streak either. It enhances beading, and (of course)it works especially well with DG products. It's ridiculously cheap also. I used to use Zaino's Z6 detailer which may or may not be the same thing as FCS. FCS is better than Z6,and I like it every bit as good as OID. I have been topping DG 105/601 with it for the last several washes. The FCS looks just as good as AW IMO,and that's saying something! The whole Duragloss line is hard to beat considering what you get for the money. I'm going to try Squeaky Clean and their APC next.

Megs Gold Class Carnauba Plus Quick Wax is another sleeper. This is a very nice product. I got it for free in a gift set,and I really like it. I would definitely buy it. Very nice depth, gloss, and slickness! Pinnacle Souveran Spray Wax looks better, but not by a whole lot IMO! The same gift set had Perfect Clarity glass cleaner in it,and it works really well also.

I know it isn't sold here, but the Surf City Professional rinseless with Carnuaba is amazing. I wouldn't have bought it as I have quite a bit of Pinnacle rinseless left, but SC had a nice sale on. It was a big step up from anything I had used before, but it sure isn't cheap. I have liked pretty much everything I've tried from Surf City.

Eco Touch Tire Shine x 10 - I'm working on a very long-term review for this one
CG's AllClean+ - dilutes higher than OPC/D101
DP Rinseless Wash & Gloss - easily on par with ONR
Lucas Slick Mist - on par with Megs UQW

I see a few fans of Lucas Slick Mist. I don't know if they have reformulated, but I tried it about 7-8 years ago and it was terrible. I even bought a second bottle thinking I may have bought a bad one. Nope, it streaked terrible and was a nightmare to make look decent.

Tornador Black. This thing saves me a lot of time and just makes life easier.

Even though we have a thread for it and its got alot of views and comments, the Turtle Wax tire coating doesn't get enough attention IMO. I've tried MANY tire dressings and gels over the years but this stuff truely doesn't wear off after driving in the rain or washing. Actually it takes a solid month for it to "start" to look like a natrual looking tire and for some, that's still ok. Its well under $20, rebates are available and its available over the counter, win, win and win! I see NO downsides to using this product and because good looking tires are so important to many people, why would you use anything else, honestly:props:

I bought it earlier this year and can testify to its current quality. I even tested by applying in direct sunlight; 7-8 years is a long time, so they probably reformulated.

Yes, in fact even the packaging (the bottle and sprayer) it came in changed a couple years ago. Lucas Slick Mist Speed Wax, as I mentioned previously, is a very good product - at least the new version - and is on par with AquaWax as a drying aid after your wash. Price/value, versatility in use and availability everywhere makes it a product to try, at least once.

There are some reviews of Speed Wax on the net (including right here at AG). Amazon reviewers give it a solid five stars, but here is an unusual review by a fisherman who uses it for his bass boat. If it can handle the things this guy talks about it certainly should do well for a car:

Klasse - I have been following the thread and I think I am ready to give it a shot. I am over the frustration of the canned version. I did use their trim coat and was really impressed.

CDot/Shortspark - next time I see a bottle I will give Slick Mist another shot.

I'll post another one to see any thoughts, how about Megs Supreme Shine Microfiber 3 pack? I picked them up the other day for like 5 bucks. I used them to wipe off Pinnacle Souveran and they did a nice job. I worried a little b/c they are "grippy" on the hands but I've heard that is a myth and since AG sells them and Megs makes them I doubt they would scratch/swirl, anyone else like them?
