Mother’s CMX is here!

Yesterday I prepped my new truck for CMX, which was delivered today.
I washed/clayed/polished with a DA polisher and Mother’s Pure Polish / isopropyl alcohol wipe down.
The truck looks great!
Today I applied the CMX. I Didn’t notice any difference in the appearance.
It’s supposed to rain all night here in central NJ. I’ll post pics of the beading in the am.

Not that its going to change the looks but I'd add a 2nd coat

I’m definitely doing it after the rain tomorrow. I might go a little heavier with the second coat.
Probably wasteful, but I can’t help help myself. I’m from the “more is better” school of thought.

Well went to use my CMX on a friend's car and it's spitting out white chunks.

Also on my 400 Mile drive back home the 5 was shut down and had to go through mountain passes where it was snowing and the roads were being salted so, I'll post a video of how all the road grime sprays off tomorrow

Mine has been spitting out white chunks since the first application. Not sure if that was normal so I used it and blew away the chunks. Seems like they would mar the paint pretty good if someone didn't notice it.

Here are a couple more water beading shots after the third layer.

Still happy overall but it is more apparent that the product won't be replacing any type of actual SiO2 Coating, even GYEON's CanCoat, anytime soon. I'll be interested in comparing it with PNS as I'll be re-doing the driver side of the hood on the Jeep with that next.

Not bad at all. The vertical panels are almost completely dry. I’m impressed with the beading. I’ll be applying a second coat later today.

What you’re seeing is actually just simple overspray. Due to the chemistry of CMX Ceramic Spray Coating, it just happens to be more visible / substantial than other spray products you’re used to, but rest assured that it will not affect performance or harm your paint. It dusts away with little or no effort, and is not considered a problem. We are addressing this from the user experience side in our instructions, aimed at minimizing overspray by recommending spraying the product onto a microfiber towel or applicator pad. Thank you guys again for all of your feedback and support.

I’m very impressed with the self cleaning abilities of this product! After a day of snow, sleet, and road grime, I was pleasantly surprised to see an extremely clean vehicle after a little bit of rain overnight.

Nice to hear of that property of CMX. I just don't have the time available to keep the family daily driver fleet clean with three of them parked outside 24/7, so anything that helps is worth adding to my already too large wax/sealant stock.
