A few weeks back, I made a thread about brown tires. And within a couple hours. Forrest from mothers contacted me about a product from there 2013 line. I gave that a try. And I must say. The pictures show it in action. And they looked new afterwards. I can not speak for durability yet because the alignment shop sprayed dressing on them for lubrication of the machine. :dblthumb2:

Looks good! Whats the cost? I've been using APC for years cause its cheap and works great.
 
I believe its $6.99 a bottle on AG. Plus this is safer for your wheels that APC is.

Is there any advantage of this over their Foaming Wheel and Tire cleaner?
 
I have not had experience with that product. But i believe the b2b is suppose to keep the brown away longer. Not just clean it. My friend commented that the tires looked better than his brand new tires that are not mounted yet

APC is safe for wheels not sure what your talking about. I've been using Adam's APC for a long time on every kind of wheel you could name.
 
Have you ever used Westley's Bleche White? If so, how does this compare?

WOW! That is some serious nastyness coming off. I currently use Griots Rubber Cleaner on my Tires but this looks a bit more potent.

Is there any color to the b2b, or is it just a cleaner? The reason I ask is it's my feeling that the brown isn't as much a factor of "keeping it off" the tires, but rather dirt/grunge/brake dust/etc. collecting on the surface, thus 'keeping it on'.

Using gel, silicone, and shine products that provide a 'film' (as it may) may indeed contribute to providing a layer for the contaminates to build up in. :dunno:

Whereas a good and thorough cleaning and a light application of tire dressing with every wash should keep the 'brown' buildup from being a nusance.
 
Back to Black Tire Renew is a dedicated tire cleaner. It's far safer than bleach based cleaners.

A major advantage is how it's used. Most cleaners you spray on, scrub with a brush and hose off. Back to Black Tire Renew is sprayed on and wiped off - no rinsing required.

In addition to removing old tire gels and dressings, it will also remove tire browning. In my testing, the browning didn't return for 6+ weeks. Keep in mind some tire brands are worse than others at browning, particularly the high mileage/low rolling resistance models.
 
It's good stuff. What sold me on it was the fact that it was a spray on WIPE off tire cleaner. I thought why not give it a try, I figured it'd be great for cold weather rinseless washes because you could clean the tires and never need a hose. I bought it about a month ago and finally used it this past weekend, and it definitely works. It's pretty cheap as well. Definitely check it out
 
I love mothers b2b trim dressing its amazing! If this stuff is in any way as good as that I'd love to try it.
But wesely's bleach white I've used for years and I love it..
I want to try this stuff though just cause of their b2b trim dressing. Can u get it otc?

DPScoupe, I see you have the black ones. Nice

From what I can tell by the original foam before it starts to work. Its does not have a color.

I am not sure if its OTC yet. I haven't had a chance to look. I also have not had a chance to use bleach white. I know anything to harsh I am afraid to use because of the experience I had with my shelby redlines (made by american racing). The finish did not even last a year. So I am very very cautious on anything that will come in contract with my drifts.

Ah hah! So sans the scrub and rinse is the selling point. OK, that's cool enough. ;)
I can see where in these days of rinseless washes, there indeed is a huge market for a rinseless tire cleaner! :)

But I was correct however in my assumption (and all to familiar with how that word makes an a$$ out of "u" and "me" ;) ) that at the end of the day, the *key* is removing a film buildup that helps to gather road grime, brake dust et al.

In other words, keep the rubber as clean as possible and apply only as much product as you need to accomplish the shine level you are looking for.

Thanks for the post Forrest. I don't know how I missed any comments about this product before today. During wintertime here in PA, tire cleaning has to wait. I'll usually keep a bucket in the trunk packed with a grit guard, ONR in 1 oz. film containers, a bunch of MF's and a few WW towels and a wheel/tire brush. Sounds like B to B is the perfect addition to my rinseless kit.
