Mothers Polishes Mustang Make Over.

Ahh. Quite right. Noted, thank you.

Maybe in the future they will be. Kind of like how Meguiar's Professional used to be only available to pro detailers or by mail order only. All of a sudden some of their pro lines are available OTC, and some people think they are a subpar brand now. I can only chuckle.

How to you Foam and Wash with a power washer inside the garage without making a huge mess?

Does anyone know how the various Mother's Compounds and Polishes rate as far as aggressiveness compared to other brands?

I have seen the Autopia chart by Todd Helme, but it leaves out a lot of the Mother's products.

Thanks for the report. Looks great.

How do you find the Mothers polishes work compared to say Menzera? You mention little dust but what about work time, long buffing cycle, wipe off, pad build up, ease of cleaning, etc?

Al, I find them easier than Menzerna the working time with both the compound and FPP were just fine. In my review of the compound I compared a DA to a rotary and the DA has a much longer working time which may be why I had no issues as I was using a Flex 3401. Wipe off is easy unless you overwork it then it can get sticky. I used 6 pads total 3 for each product cleaning with compressed air. As far as clean up goes it washes right off without any problem Probably due to the fact that it is body shop safe and has no silicones or oils.

How did you like the leather cleaner and the conditioner? Been thinking about picking some of that up but been waiting on some reviews.

The leather cleaner is very nice. The cleaner is very mild I wouldn't use it for heavily soiled seats. The cream leaves the seats feeling soft and supple with a satin finish without any residue it also has a great smell.

Looks awesome! I love the color and alumni license plate :props:

Thanks

Outstanding showcase! Cant wait to see more in the future.
Thanks I'll do some more on 2014 line as time permits.

I can tell your a Mothers guy.
Well sort of, but not really. I have just about any product you could want to choose from, too many in fact, but chose these because I knew they would work.

thank you for this write-up. love the result, love that these are "OTC" products as well.

Thank You

Nice write up and review, showcasing the results that Mothers offers. The sun shots speak for themselves. The color looks great.

Thank You

Excellent job and great documentation!

Thank You

Wow that's some serious brand dedication. Great Job! There are very few mustangs in that year range that look that nice. Most are badly abused.

What can I say, they're good products that don't break the bank.

Ron, this thread should be the how too of how too's for using Mothers products.. I thought the Mustang was in good shape before you began but after you performed your magic it rates right up there with any show car I've seen.

Mothers is another line that receives less attention than many others but as you can see can hold its own hands down......:dblthumb2:

OH, and is available locally at reasonable prices!! :props:

Thank you Sir :xyxthumbs: I don't know if its show quality but it sure did respond well. I would say I got at least 90% correction but knowing its a driver I didn't feel it was worth it to chase any more. I probably have about 12 hours in just polishing on it.

Yes all of these products are available OTC or are available for in store pick up. Just checked to be sure.

Carefully Im the MANIt actually cleans the car and the floor at the same time. So whatever I get all over the floor from polishing gets cleaned up at the same time and I'm not tracking it into the car.

Look up Todd's review on the Mothers professional line. He reviews each one and charts them on aggressiveness

I would have to agree. These are not available OTC. At least in my area. The rest of the products are available OTC.

Some things I used aren't in the stores yet give them a couple months and you should see them. The ones that aren't are available here or are available for in store pick up at your local big box. Just checked to be sure.

You may be right. I already have the compound and polish in my arsenal. I bought it from a detail shop near me. I actually did a quick review of them when I spruced up my wheels a bit.

They do work great. I'm about to try them out on my car's paint along with a couple other mothers products I have. Seeing your review makes me want to try them out that much more.

You already know what to expect from your wheel post. Your paint will be no different.

Thank you Smack, that is quite a compliment coming from you I've seen your excellent work also.
