Actually, there is common ownership of both companies, but Mothers does not own Mark V.
Sure, it's a minor point, but wanted to set the record straight.

when i visited the mark-v warehouse that's what the guy mentioned (didn't even ask or inquire LOL). i guess you learn something new everyday (they did have some mothers products there, including some of the mothers cleaner wax paste and a few other items which were on clearance, and would of picked one up, but am not a fan of those particular products). hopefully, we'll get more feedback from members on here on how the pro line stacks up to the competition (megs, menzerna, etc) as they carry it there and will be easily accessible to me. i'm looking forward to trying the fx paste wax though...

Mike, Are 3M products, formulations or production being used in any way by MOTHERS? I seem to have heard there is a tie-in !

WG - 3M bought Meguiar's a little while back. They (3M) have nothing to do with Mothers.

Looks okay from my point of view, I work in a jail and some of these kids can't write read or write or misspell words horribly.
We welcome our members from across the sea.
Can't wait for the outcome on the Mothers testing......

No, they are NOT Mark V products under a different name. All these formulae are unique to Mothers, as the Mark V product formulae are to them.
We will be demoing the Professional products at the AG Detail Fest next weekend in Florida. If you use a rotary, and have questions about the pro products, stop on by.

It is a normal thought process for people to wonder and ask questions like John and that's what's really beneficial on a discussion forum is to have the ability to set the record straight.
I can't tell you how many times I was asked this question about Meguiar's Marine Products vs Meguiar's Consumer Products vs Meguiar's Professional Line vs all the Co-Labeled Products... and I always answered with the in much the same way...
I haven't had enough time behind the buffer with this new line but from the time I have been using these product they worked exceedingly well as far as performance goes and just as important they had a great buffing cycle and easy wipe-off.
It will be great to have you hear to showcase the new line and answer questions, looking forward to working with you again!

Since I "started" this thread we used the new product line all day long on the Back Knight at Barrett-Jackson which always makes for a great live demonstration!

Finished claying the paint, taping off a little trim and then polishing the paint using Mothers Foam Pad Polish from their Professional Line and the results turned out clear and glossy in one step using only polishing pads.
I used the Flex 3401 for most of the car with a white Kompressor pad but I also wanted to test out a DA Polisher like the PC to see how it performed on the same paint condition with the same foam formula and swirl remover and both tools and pads worked flawlessly with the Foam Pad Polish.
