hello everyone....i am using the mothers ultimate wax system and although i have good results (shine-wise), i do find that the white residue left after allowing it to dry to a haze and buffing it with a mf towel is very difficult to get off the car. i posted the results of my first detail on the shine and tell section. anyone else have this problem and any possible solutions???

i am using a pc and have ordered mcguiars #83 which i plan to follow with wf sealant and pinnacle wax. this will be my second detail and it will be on an 2005 legacy which is a daily drive. do i need to take the swirls out??? if so i plan to not use the #83 and get wg tsr and fg. any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Are you applying all 3 steps of the Mothers system?

Is it just step 3 where you have issues buffing off? In any case, it definitely means you are using too much or doing something like applying it direct sun. Mothers is pretty forgiving to over application.

You just need to use a very small amounts and just make sure you go over the area a few times to insure even coverage. If you think it is going on too thinly, you probably have the right amount!

thank you, bunky, for the reply. its actually step 1 (the pre wax cleaner) that leaves a white residue what becomes powdery that i have a hard time removing. step 2 and 3 does not give me the same problems. same thing (use less of the producys) applies???

Pre-Wax Cleaner can be difficult to remove if you apply too much, or over too large an area.

Are you doing one body panel at a time?

yes i am doing one panel at a time, but like the previous post said...i might be applying too much. the step 2 and 3 are great though. excellent shine and reflections.
