Motorhome Detailer wanted in Kissimmee, Florida


I just had a phone call from a gentleman by the name of Barry who is currently in Kissimmee, Florida but also heading towards the Florida Keys.

He has a 1990 40' Bounder Motorhome and he wants it detailed. From memory these motorhomes have a fiberglas gel-coat exterior finish. This gel-coat finish will tend to oxidize and turn dull.

Barry says there looks to be a film on the motorhome and I'm guessing this is just accumulated road grime and oxidation. Barry is looking for someone to detail his motorhome.

He called Autogeek's Customer Service and was referred to me. I told Barry I would put this thread up to see if we have anyone in the Kissimmee area or even the Keys that likes to detail Motorhomes are is willing to detail a Motorhome.

If you do, reply to this thread and I'll put you in touch with Barry and you and he can figure out the time, place, work to be done and pricing.


If we don't find someone in Kissimmee area he'll be driving by Autogeek here in Stuart and stopping by and I'll take some pictures to show the motorhome and its condition. He may opt to buy all the tools, pads and products and do it himself and if he opts for that option I told him I would dial in a process he can use while he's here.

In case you don't know, here's a general idea of what a couple of long Bounders look like, these are NOT Barry's Bounder, just some I found on the Internet.

Lots of real-estate to buff out. :bolt:


I would highly recommend using a good one-step cleaner/wax so you only have to go around the motorhome ONCE and a good tool for the job would be a Flex 3401 as it has lots of power but won't leave swirls like a rotary and the pads won't stop spinning like the PC type of polishers.

Yes, after speaking with you an all-one is the way to go. You are the man with the knowledge.

1990 that makes it like 24 years old. That is one I would pass on. That is going to be a project. Your going to need a lot more than an AIO it will need to be compounded. The graphics are going to be all brittle. Who ever takes this job remember due to its age there are going to be some issues. Careful on the roof all the covers up there will be brittle. Just dragging a hose over the skylights could cause them to crack.

I hope someone can step up and help this gentleman just remember age causes many problems on RV's. This is probably much more than a large wash and wax job.
