mr.pink vs honeydew

I had a feeling. Thanks for validating my observations.

I'm making the move to Gyeon Bathe+ and TAC Mystic Bubble and TAC Mystic Water Repellent for these reasons. A part of me has a economic/moral dilemma about wasting so much shampoo since I have so much Mr Pink and Xtreme Foam left over.

My pleasure.

Let us know how Bathe+ works! I have been curious about it myself, as that has to potential to be a great time saver for refreshing a sealant or silica based coating. I too have more shampoo laying around then I care to admit. But, I have managed to find a use for them all. Downgrade the Mr.Pink to a wheel soap or something, unless those are coated. lol.

Isn't citrus wash and clear meant as a press cleaner to strip everything... so what should i use that will still bead and provide some gloss or maintain my coating and still work in cannon

I use Mr. Pink a lot my sister (she is 16) loves it on her Mustang and Honeydew Snow Foam I use it in cannon since it tends to cover the car pretty good! Majority of the time I am using CG Citrus Wash + Gloss.

CG Citrus Wash is a "stripper" wash. It can be used in light dilutions as a maintenance wash(1-2oz), but it doesn't have any gloss enhancers in it. Heavier dilutions(4-5oz) and it can, and does, remove older waxes that aren't as fresh or durable anymore. A customer brought a black XLR in that had been "detailed" before storage last year with a cheapo spray wax. It was beading water some when I first started, but after washing with 4oz of Citrus wash, it no longer beaded. It probably wouldn't hurt recently applied products as much, if any. But I wouldn't try it myself. If your vehicle has a coating it would probably shrug it off no problem.

There are plenty of coating-safe maintenance soaps out there. CarPro Reset is my favorite and the best I have found, but it offers no fortification to the coating, just safely cleans it. It has no gloss enhancers, because those hurt coatings. Meguier's Hyperwash D110 foams great and is coating safe, no additional fortification though.

Examples of soaps that DO offer fortification are CarPro Hydro2 Foam and Gyeon Bathe+. These can be used in a cannon and have silica(SiO2) sealants in them. I have no experience with either.

If you want something to use out of a Cannon that provides gloss and will maintain your coating then buy Hydrofoam by CarPro. It's fantastic!

LOL use both AT THE SAME TIME. I have actually mixed them when using my foam cannon. I like the results :xyxthumbs:

I prefer something that foams and has a gloss . But I don't want to loose the beading?!and maintain a coating

IME this is a great soap that works well in the bucket and with the foam cannon/gun...
128 oz. Duragloss Car Wash Concentrate (CWC) #902

I have both and Citrus Wash and Gloss. I prefer Honey Dew, it's awesome in a foam gun. I use CGWG for my pre polishing wash in a high concentrate. Mr Pink will go away after I use it up.

I have Duragloss 902 and it's is awesome too, oh so may choices

And then their is Sonax Gloss Shampoo, this stuff is amazing too, especially if have PNS down:

SONAX Gloss Shampoo Concentrate, concentrated auto shampoo, car shampoo, car wash, Sonax auto wash

PNS after washing with SGS, brought the beading right back!

Sorry - I should have been more specific. I've used Bathe+ multiple times, but as a shampoo every month or 6 weeks. I like it quite a bit. Once you get past the realization that it doesn't foam up much and realize that it has pretty decent lubricity, it does help fortify a coated car. I keep buying it. I think Mystic Water Repellent from TAC maybe very similar. TAC Mystic Bubble is starting to look like CarPro Reset since the origin is suspected to be the same and since the dilution is exactly the same.
