MTM Hydro Foam Lance Adjusting

Hey guys. I have a question for anybody who has a MTM Hydro Foam Lance. Just used mined for the first time yesterday but couldn't get a good solid spray pattern. Unlike videos I've seen where the spray pattern looks like it does with the regular pressure washer tip, mine was more directed in the center and on a wide angle. It just wouldn't give me a nice spray pattern. Adjusted the end cap just made it either a jet stream or the strange pattern. I'm just wondering if maybe this one is damaged? Did anyone have this problem? Did I miss something for adjusting?
 
You're just going to have to play with it until its right. It took second for me to get adjusted as well. I usually have my nozzle in the front closed as much as possible and then the knob I have I turn it to the right all the way (pretty much). So basically turn everything clockwise. Play with the settings alittle and dial it in to where you like it.
 
Ok thanks. I felt like adjusting the top knob didn't so anything either. Felt like it was always the same amount of soap coming out.
 
I thought the same thing...but it does change it alittle bit.
 
Btw... How much soap do you use? I did 2oz of soap. Should it be 1oz?
 
When I first got it, I was using 3-4 ounces and filling the entire bottle with warm water. I am trying to adjust it to where I'm only using 1 to 2 ounces of shampoo and maybe half the bottle of warm water.

BTW CG Maxi Suds works AWESOME with the foam gun. I'm SO glad I got a gallon of it with my last order. I used DP Extreme Foam before, but for the price you can't beat a gallon of Maxi Suds.
 
Yeah I'm using Maxi Suds II as well. Definitely will need to buy a gallon soon.
 
Maxi Suds worked better than DP Extreme Foam IMO
 
Alex , u have a recipe to mix up to use as a lsp stripper with using the cannon ?
u know 1 oz of this and that .... ?
 
Chad just use Dawn and warm water. I put about 3 oz in and then do a Dawn hand wash, it strips everything I've run across so far.
 
So use 3oz Dawn and warm water in the lance and use dawn in the bucket?
 
yep...and if you have some APC I'd throw an ounce of that in the foam lance as well. That should about do it for stripping the LSP.
