So my friends at a local Ford dealer about 30 minutes from me sold a couple that lives nearly 2hrs away this great little gem of a convertible. They saw a couple cars that I've done for them in person they day they bought this and said they had to make the trip to Columbus to have the works done to their new toy. Personally, it's not my first choice in years but this 1997 only has 46k miles on it and the interior is a 10/10 and cleaned up just as well as the outside and I just love how it sounds.

It's a hard working couple that saved up for a summertime cruiser that they could enjoy on back country roads and get away from the mundane world of work and daily drivers. This ones checks a lot of their boxes.

It had a little paint work and I'm sure there's some history there but overall it's clean and well sorted. Fun thing is I mentioned perhaps upgrading the wheels and filling out the rear end a bit with some real meat and that's exactly what they were off to do today after they picked it up! Gotta love priorities and making such a great car look even better.

It was riddled with swirls and the panels that were painted did need a little love in terms of refinement. Now it's nearly impossible to tell which ones were painted. Considering they wanted a full interior done too including restoring the leather we balanced out costs and went with my Premium Enhancement Polish Package and a CarPro Ceramic that will do just fine for many years to come considering it's not going to see inclement weather nor bake out in the sun.

In addition, I cleaned and fully sealed the convertible top and ceramic coated their wheels. As an added touch, I tossed in restoring the black trim to NEW and sealed it up with it's respective coating too. Leather wise, it responded extremely well to the full Leatherique Restoration process and drank up nearly 3 applications of the rejuvenation product but now it's super soft, supple and best of all, no more dirt or gloss from years of crappy Armor-all like cheap interior dressing. Matte Black as it should be is how it is now.

My usually products were used here.

Flex XCE Polisher with Lake Country Orange Flat Pads, CarPro Essence and CarPro UK 3.0. Wheels were done with GYEON Q2 RIM and trim was done with CarPro Dlux.

Always liked these Cobras although I prefer coupes. The unique front bumper looks so good but those wheels are some of the best OEM rims ever The red shimmers, I'm sure DFB will really like it

I’m not the biggest Mustang fan but damn I’m lovin that. Reminds me of high school. The red paint looks drippping wet!!!

Super "restoration", and that last hood shot is epic.

Did this pony happen to escape from a Marysville dealer ?

Wow Beautiful! I am a HUGE Mustang/Shelby Fanboy! The Cobras just rock. Again, beautiful work! KEEP ON ROCKING!

Yep. Joe and Jason are the ones that put it together for them.

I’d be willing to put money down that it never looked that good brand new! Another one knocked well out of the park.

Garage floor looks great too. :) How is it working in there?

Also, you’re a tease - no interior shots after talking it up so much?!

Beautiful Cobra.... loved mustangs since the fox body only just recently owed the coyote.

I did almost by a terminator that was built to the hilt before I got my Chevelle. My only hang up was the color (yellow) and once i got overcit and decided to go look at it it was sold...

Thanks! Yeah, they were pretty excited to see it. The husband commented on how the color of the red changed. I had to explain that it's like looking out a window that's dirty, colors don't "pop" but when it's crystal clear everything looks brighter. Clear coat adds depth and most lay-people don't realize the impact of it when fully corrected. Well, in this case, 95% as I wasn't chasing every mark.

Interior wise, all I have are a few cell pics as it rained every day here since the initial pics. I'll dig them up but the lighting wasn't nearly the best.

Floor is AWESOME though. I love it. Water rolls right out now and it's a snap to clean. I literally foamed it with my IK sprayer after washing the car, let it dwell, then simply rinsed it out.

I am a fan of the SN95 Cobras and that's beautiful, looks lowered. Great clarity in the paint now.

He did say he though it was lowered but it seems odd as my Accord has less wheel gap than that. LOL!
