What color is yours ? That's nice dark red, at least to my eyes anyway. I am partially color blind. I can tell the difference between red and black and white etc.. but different shades of the same basic color is hard for me to see. You know those pictures at the eye dr you see that have a picture there and have a figure of some kind that most people can see ? I can't see the figure inside of those pictures that has a bunch of same colors mixed in together.
Mine is a factory base/clear, but my last car (1995 Lincoln MKVIII) was a factory tricoat color, and I had two different paint repairs done to it. The first was one man operation to fix a pair of small dents and scratches courtesy of a runaway shopping cart. he knew what he was doing, and his color match was superb. The second was after and old fart tried to tear my door off with his Crown Vic. Nick Nicholas Ford in Inverness FL got that repair job, and those talking monkeys never did get the color match correct. Do your homework, interview the painter, and be prepared to pay a premium price for a proper job.
