You are correct - I believe the color is called redfire and it was the precursor to Red Candy which has a tinted clearcoat. Flannigan did a great job with redfire bringing that color back. It looks better now than when it came off the showroom floor.

Wow Dave!!! Those reflections shots are just out of this world. They make the paint look like a mile deep. Congrats on your successful participation in the Mustang show and I really hope you got a lot of new clients from that event. Thanks for all the advice you provide for us here.

Great work as always! My experience with Mustang paint has been REALLY soft though. I've gotten about 80% correction from an AIO and Green LC pad . . .

Thank you! that is interesting. I've done three Mustangs in this same color, a black one, and a dark blue one now, and every one of them has had medium hard to extremely hard paint. I wonder if Ford changed their paint system at some point in time.
