Well I was trying to think of a witty title, but I guess I am not as witty as I think I am. O well, anyways.

Just wanted to share with ya'll that I finally took my Mustang to one of the best tuners, performance shops in the country. I am very excited becase she is my first car and is my little baby. O cant wait to get her back. I am getting MAF put in, and then a custom tune and possibly 3.73 gears. Then I am thinking heads, and intake and a bigger throttle body.

Thanks for reading my little silly post but I am stoked and wanted to tell everybody.

the mustang has always been a great platform for mods, and relatively inexpensive to boot. I would offer you three items as biggest bangs for buck. Gears/Converter , Headers, and Tuning.

I will get some pics up soon.

Killr, thanks for the insight. I am seriosly considering the 3.73, and the tune is already happening. Already have headers and x-pipe. For only having 2.82 gears it moves pretty quick and gets 26-28 mpg on the highway.

I eventually need some body work done and paint, and then a full suspension redo. :D

I think I am going to try and get a good ole boy loan from the bank of Gary.. LOL.

I am afraid to show them, as it doesn't do the car justice. It is basically stock minus a few mods. The interior is almost flawless for the car as old as it is. I will show some, but I will probably feel like the chubby girl in the bikini when I post them. Be gentle....LOL

So true, and mostly the reason I bought it, besides I love Mustangs. I bought the car for under $4000 12 years ago with little miles and have put at most $6000 in mods, gas, oil changes etc. Pretty good investment especially getting 26-28 mpg.

I am Dying too see it. I hope because of our small distance you will show it to me. I am excited.

Tune done at Modular Powerhouse? Just a guess.

Don't fear the gear!! If I kept mine, I'd be putting 4.10's in it in a heartbeat. I have a built 5.0 differential in mine w/ stock gearing.

Look forward to hearing the numbers!

Guesing 220rwhp and 290twtq with what you have listed. I'm building mine the right way, swaping out the weak points then doing the go fast parts. I should have my A Five T-5 tranny (G-Force like but better) in a week or month. Then my McLeod Dual Performance Clutch Disc, Blue printed king cobra pressure plate. Since I really don't race at the track mostly just farting around town the 31 spline superior axles and Auburn diff can wait. Hopefully by Jan of 08 the AFR 165 or BrodixST5.0 heads go one with a FTI or Jay Allen custom cam and I already have a Anderson ported lower cobra intake (ported to a felpro 1262). Fix your weak point first namely the T-5 tranny (they suck) before you throw go fast parts. Yes making 300rwhp across the board is fun, but being left to walk home cause your tranny can't take it is not. I will say 3.73 are a blast to drive around in I love mine, and the stock cobra intake on there now made a nice difference in power.

mingraygt-- its an 88 GT

Whitethunder46- Its being done at Alternative Auto Performance. I don't think I wan't to go above 3.73. I don't want to run out of gears too fast. I like using 1st.

I promise she is not much to look at, but I will put some pics up when I get her back.

wytstang-- Thanks for your thoughts. I took care of the tranny first thing and put a tremec 3550, McLeod Dual Performance Clutch Disc, and Ford Racing pressure plate. once the go fast are completed, the suspension will top it off.

wytstang, where is jay allen now? I use to deal w/him when he worked for trick flow, then crawford performance. I use to have an 8 sec. quarter mile 88
gt in the early 90s with a 10 inch tire. Sorry did not mean to high jack thread,
I just havent heard jays name in a long time.

Jay Allen's at camshaftinnovations.com I'm pretty sure this is his own busness(sp?). Didn't know he worked for Ronnie Crawford, I've read Jay mention Crawford's name for engine work. (Crawford works at propowerperf.com now) Makes sence why he recomends him highly, that and Ronnie is the man for race motors.

I know crawfords at Propower, i know dale and all those guys. If you are pretty good friends w/Jay, I will let you in on a secret-his first name is Leonard. Thanks for the info on Jay, he was really good to me when I had my street/racecar.
