Mustang Interior

I haven’t been taking many pictures of recent jobs because it slows me down so much. But with this interior, there was no way I wasn’t going to snap a few pictures.

The whole interior, every inch, was treated with a product to treat and remove mold/mildew (purchased locally). After that was done, the interior was cleaned again using Meg APC. Once that was done, the interior was treated again with Meg #40. Many brushes were used throughout the process to help get into any cracks/crevices. A carpet brush attachment was also used on a Griots DA to speed things up. The carpet was replaced before getting to the car so no extraction was done to remove mildew from carpets, as there was none in the new carpet.

No work was done to the exterior of this Mustang.

Thanks for looking!

Nasty...... great job Stephan!

What was the product you used to treat the mold?

Not sure of the cause of the mildew. All of the door seals, convertible top, carpet and some other pieces were all new. So my guess is a leak somewhere, not sure though.

MoldSTAT and Orange Solv were used to treat the mold.

Thanks guys!

Wow! Great job with this interior! I would put this on you're website when you have the chance. They are some great before and afters. I am sure it would appeal to some customers.

You did a great job on that Mustang. Was that car a flood victim?

Hope you wore a mask. For aslong as i have been doing this mold has been a issue. Now after 6 years i can tell its taking its toll on me just be safe with mold guys.

Thanks guys. I dont think this car was a flood victim.

Gloves were worn but no mask. I know I should have been I didnt. Thankfully it was a drop top and I worked with the top down to air it out.

Nice turnaround Stephan. I had a Ford Focus wagon on the books that had an identical mold problem as that Mustang. Upon calling to verify the date that I would do the job, my customer informed me that he had just sold the car as is. Just as well because I wasn't much into touching anything in that Focus.

That was nasty. Great job but you already knew that! :props:

Did you take any panels apart, pull the seats out or disassemble the console? I just wondered how thorough your customer wanted to go.

Thanks guys.

Didnt remove any panels. I never even met the owner of this vehicle. It was at a shop getting worked on and they called me up to take care of it.

That just made me sick to my stomach - mold shots always do .... Very nice turn around:dblthumb2:

Awesome job! Good gawd man...that was disgusting.

I gotta say that was sickening, especially that pass. door. How long was the car sitting to be able to grow that much mold? Outstanding cleanup job.
