I just got this 1983 Nissan truck and am starting my own auto detailing and lawn care business with my wife. It looked really dull and not taken good care of. Makes a decent work truck though for the business. I haven't gotten the inside done because it's just too worn out, so I'm in process of replacing the seats and the carpet. I just did the outside and the windows. First, I power washed it to get all the grime off. Then, I used a clay bar for the impurities. After that, I did a really good wax job using ICE. I did the clay bar and the waxing by hand. I also cleaned the windows and tires really good and put some tire dressing on them. Let me know what you think!

After I was done, the color really popped. Before, it was dull and not very nice looking. But the next day I ran into the original owner in town and he didn't even recognize the truck!Feed back please

Looks good. Have you tried machine polishing it? That's probably what will make most difference.

That looks great. I love these trucks but finding a non-rusted model in the Northeast is next to impossible. It is nice to see a survivor on the road.

Its a Datsun!!! Nice job. You should definitely try to machine polish to get that extra shine.

That's a great looking truck for being 30 years old. Not many of those still alive.

Awesome 720 man! Here's mine, it's an 86.

They're great little trucks. Mine needs a clutch now, and doesn't get driven much since I got the Mustang... but she was my first, and I'll always love her.

Very clean!! As others mentioned, using a machine will create even better results.

Thanks for all the feedback guys! I will definately do a machine polish/buff on it to make it really shine. I'm in process of putting in some better seats and replacing the carpet. By the time I'm done, it will look even better!
