It's been a really long time since I've been on here...figured I should stop in and see what's new and share a few pics while I'm here.

Even though we had an early spring, I had been so busy I hadn't had a chance to spring detail my truck. About a month or so ago I finally found a weekend to give her the spring cleaning she so badly needed.

She got my usual spring work-over...claybarred, Poorboy's SSR1 over all, Poorboy's Black Hole, a coat of Poorboy's EX-P, and then topped with 2 coats of Natty's Blue.

Anyway, here are the pics. No 'before' shots, but she was mostly just a bit swirled from quickie, not-so-careful winter washings to keep the salt and crud off of her.

I hope you all like the pics. I'm hoping to get some 'better' pics soon...these were all taken with my iPhone on the way home from work.

A roll pan and painting out all of the black handles is in the plans soon, in fact the new handles showed up a couple weeks ago...just need work to slow down so I can paint them. ;-)

Comments and critiques are certainly welcome.

Absolutely gorgeous truck and the paint is in amazing shape! Has it been repainted or is it original? I love the old style 5 spoke mag wheels on it!! :props:

Very clean truck, awesome job, I'm digging the blue dots. Man I miss my '92.

I picked it up used in November of 2009. That was one of the things that attracted me to it...other than it was already lowered, was that the paint, although swirly and under-maintained, was really in good shape.

From what I can tell...the whole truck has been re-cleared. The bed had been hit on the one rear corner and it's obvious due to some fish eyes and sanding marks in the finish. The rest of the truck has been re-cleared right over the old clear along with some marks and spots that were left unrepaired (ie: wheelwell trim was removed and some residue and paint marring were left behind).

But overall, for a daily driver for me...I'm overly happy with this truck. It's brought me much joy over the past two years and I'm still enjoyin' the heck out of it.

For reference, here are a few shots of it the day I brought it home...

Interior looked bad, wasn't sure what I'd find under the seat cover...

after some elbow grease this is how she looked 'after' I cleaned it up...

The tires were all 4 mis-matched and only one had any decent amount of rubber on it. I amazingly drove it 4.5 hours home on these tires, praying every minute they'd make the drive.

And here was an overall after I had gotten it cleaned up the first day...

I love to see people take care of older gen vehicles and keeping them looking brand new. I'll take your truck over a brand new 2012 plastic truck they make these days.

I second that Ray. I loved my 89 silverado and would'nt be caught dead in a new one.
