I just use salt remover by whips wax as a prewash..or can use salt away or similar product...
The power washer took care of most of the salt. Probably the quickest and easiest thing to remove the salt.
That was quite a mess. Somebody deserves a keg for this.

rops:
Product list?
Meguiars Hyperwash
Meguiars APC for prewash on wheels, tires, fender wells
CG Snow Foam for the foam bath
Meguiars Synthetic spray wax while drying the truck
That looks like a ton of work. The tail pipe was caked.
Great job. The finished truck looks completely different than the before shots.
How well did the foam work to drag the salt off?
To be honest, I power washed the truck which got off most of the salt. The foam is just another layer of "lube" for when I wash the truck. Im not sure if it helped any but it couldn't hurt.
Great work! What's in the garage under the cover?
2015 Charger SRT 392 ( with 1500 miles on it ). Got it when dealers were asking a premium for the Hellcats but had no idea when they would get one in.
And this is what sits outside unfortunately until I get a garage for it.
Fark mate that is one Big Rig you drive! we call them Ute's or 4x4.
Thank good we dont have to salt the roads here in winter. =)
I know all about them Australian cars! I had 6 04-06 GTO's (at different times) aka Holden Monaro's and a G8 (Holden Commodore). I wish they would have brought over a Holden VF II Ute.
Heres most of them
Awesome trucks! My xterra was filithy!! Did the same Saturday. Took about 2 hours for a good wash and interior. That GMC is sharp!
Thanks! Its a GMC All Terrain X. The X gives you a performance exhaust, the black wheels with Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs on it, black running boards, black mirrors, the sport bar and black belt moldings instead of the normal chrome. I blacked out the GMC badges myself
