this is the hood of my bird, took quite a while, used meg. #83, bought some #80 to try on the rest.

looking better, but not finished

very nice! what was are you planning to put on there? I recommend you take a look at some DP MaxWax or Pinnacle Signature Series II. If you dont mind paying for the best, look into some Souveran. Souvern is just amazing on black!

Keep up the great work. I love those thunderbirds, Ford really messed up not making those cars at different trim levels, they would have sold like hotcakes.

Big improvement! The 3rd pic awesome. Post some more pics after you finish.

Sweet a fellow T-bird on here. Souveran does look great on black. I use it on the black cars in my family.

And what do you mean if Ford made different trim levels for it, it would have sold really well? Like offer a V-6 or premium package or something? For some reason, I still don't think they would have sold very well because not a lot of people are into the whole big coupes anymore.

Exactly, ford only threw it out there with the v8 and was pricey, if it had a v6 trim, I think they would still be around.

as a retro bird, they tried to keep in line with the early baby birds, 55, 56 & 57s, where they compromised was in marketing, the should also have beefed up the engine, 3.9 V with 280 hp wasn't impressive enough for alot of people, plus dealers charging 15 to 20 thousand over msrp didn't help it either, but for what I paid it was pretty fair, not really frills just a whole lot of fun, nostalgic

Beautiful car, great job too, my first car was and 88 t-bird, still have, but now its yard art, said I was going to do something with it, but my money said no. Agian, very nice job.
