I am on the last few weeks of the curing process of my freshly repainted car. Have stayed away from any kind of wax and sealant. This would be a full 90 days wait. Now I need some recommendations for a sealant and/ or wax. Remembering when I got it done. This very forum helped me to stay away from wax until the out gas took place. I am no professional like some on here but with the help from this forum now I can talk with the best of them.

What waxes and paint sealants have you used in the past?

We're going to use GTechniq this Thursday night on a 2012 Scion, maybe tune in and watch the process and the after results?

Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealant. Extreme durability, unmatched paint depth, incredibly easy to work with, insane water beading/sheeting abilities.

It like BFWD, but "extreme" durability is pushing it a bit, I'd think. It lasts about as long as other "beauty" sealants (WGDGPS and HD Poxy) in a side by side test I did, and on my car, was outstripped durability-wise by several other products I've used. Now admittedly, our climate in Manila is a bit harsher than most, so that definitely had an impact on the results I've gotten.

To the OP, any reason why you're looking for a sealant, rather than a wax? And are you more interested in durability, or looks? (Oh, and what color is your car?)

If you are looking for durability with a great shine and easy application I would recommend Meguiar's Synthetic Sealant 2.0. I use it on all of my cars and top it with Collinite #845, a combo you can't beat (in my humble opinion).

Is there anything that's OTC to remove a sealant? I want to use my dr colorchip kit and I assume I have to do that before I put on the paint.

Rubbing alcohol. <25% dilution with distilled water. Mineral spirits. Prep-sol. Car-pro eraser. Lots of options.

Although i haven't tried other sealants yet i've been more than happy with Menzerna Power Lock. Great durability and easy to apply/remove.

Some of my favorite sealants are Menzerna Power Lock, Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant, BlackFire Wet Diamond

Fantastic budget sealants will be Powerlock, DP, and Duragloss.
WGPS and BFWD are a little more money, but also awesome.
