Just wanted to show off the best car I've ever owned. I've had her for 7 months and just now finished my garage enough to be able to wax her.

I narrowed the choice of names between Svetlana and Oksana.

Not many have figured out what or who Oksana is.

maybe your girlfriend?

I fell in love with this coupe. There were only 6200 made. I would have loved the 330hp of the 2001 model, but it was about 10k more.

Now I'm looking to upgrade the suspension and I do want more POWER!

It drives like a gocart, a very beautiful gokart.

I live in the countryside where I can open her up and man she loves to run.

I'm going to see if anyone can guess before I reveal the purpose of the name.

Not obscure at all. Think European...

Not my girlfriend, but she was cute enough to be... whoops!

Beautiful cars. My bosses wife has a silver one. I'm guessing the name has something to do with figure skating.

http://www.oksana-k.com/ very nice:D

Smarty Pants, you are correct.

I thought more people would recognize Oksana Baiul as the Olympic Figure Skating Champion.

Maybe that shows my age, I think it was about ten years ago she became famous.

I don't even like figure skating, but man she was cute and I love the name.

I like Svetlana a lot too.

I am not a fan of Silver. Red is my favorite color, but not my first choice for a fast car.

She had all the service records from the day she was born and that was most important.

I had a pre-purchase inspection done at a dealer along with compression and leakdown test.

I didn't want any surprises.

They came back with "It needs new wipers."

She had exactly the same tasteful mods I would do.

1. Tri-Flow Exhaust. Sounds awsome!
2. Dinan Stage One Software.
3. Cold Air Intake.

She going to get new suspension, Bilstien Sport shocks and H&R Springs.

After 110mph she is a little floaty.

I've had her up to 125 mph. She loves to go.

I make sure she gets regular maintenence with synthetic oils in the crankcase, tranny and diff along with brake fluid and coolant changes.

She was in great shape when I bought her. No snow, rain driving and garaged.

I plan on attending a BMWCCA sponsered driving school.

Svetlana, Okasana....I was thinking along the lines of an pornstar, not skater:D

Cool shoebox, that's what we joked about a friends back at college. M seats rule, perfect blend of comfy/holdingness. if that's a word lol. Still waiting for more news on the e90 M3 w/ V8. But not really warming up to the new style, e46 was gorgeous and e39 M5 was just classic, I love driving my buddies e39 M5 and the feel of it. Been in the new e60 M5 and regardless of how much faster it is, I'd still take the e39 M5, don't care for the feel of the new one. Bangle style still hasn't grown on me.

NO!! :awesome:

Nice car it looks like a lot of fun to drive..

I agree totally! I like the smooth lines of the older style, the 3's and 5's are just gorgeous.

I have read where when the Z3 M Coupes get together it's called a "Dorkfest" because within the hardcore Bimmer community they are looked at as wierd looking.

I have been waiting to hear from someone on that but I've had a lot of comments on this car and all of them have been positive.

I started looking at M3's but when I found the Coupe it was love at first site.

After many e-mails and phone conversations I had the cashier's check in hand, inspection performed and plane tickets from Arizona to Chicago to pick it up.

I had never even driven one, but my research, over 6 months recovering from back surgery, told me I would not be dissapointed.

I loved it that it was so unique.

It is a blast to drive! Very tight even with stock suspension. The engine just begs to go. The first thing I noticed driving back from Chicago was that no matter what gear I was in or what rpm, all I had to do was blip the throttle and I was gone.

The Dinan software removed the top speed limiter among other parameters.

The turning radius is almost funny it's so small.

I would love to find out the handling characteristics when power sliding, I'll learn that at school, but the day I started paying for my own tires, (30 years ago) was the day I stopped burning out.

I put new Pirelli's on her the week I got home.

I will say this, there are a lot jerks out there in big rigs. It never failed they would wait until I was right up to them to pull out in front of me. Must have happened a hundred times on the way home.

I'm aware that they don't like to slow down so will pass to keep their speed up, but almost always there was nobody behind me and they could have waited a half second longer.

I was still getting the feel for the car so I was driving a little conservative, but it was all too easy to go right around them and pass on the right before they had a chance to know what hit em.

I'm having insane thoughts of going full bore with Dinan S3 package. That would bring me up to 340hp and tasty handling.

How do you like it? I honestly didn't care for it after driving a guys at work, he has that silver/grey color. Very fast for a sedan, but it didn't have the character or feel of the e39 M5. I was really let down. I might pickup an e39 M5, Lemans Blue is so beautiful. We had an 03' E55, lemon lawed, blah.

I hope the new M3 is great, but the looks of the new 3 series and pics of what they M3 wold look like do nothing for me. Go figure though, another guy in the office has a new 6 series and I like it.

I'm just so jealous right now... Maybe you could slap on a supercharger onto that engine. Go to bimmerforums.com Great site with a BUNCH of bmw experts.

AA Tuning is down here in Miami. Went for a ride in a modded e46 M3 putting out over 500 hp :D . Buddy almost sent his M5 there, but too many people/places have had trouble tuning the engine reliably with forced induction.

Forced Induction and reliable hardly belong in the same sentence. You have to pick!! I wish I could pick FI, but $$$$.:p
