My better half always complaining: you dont take care of my car like you do your car

Mine cant stand it when i take time outside to wash her car, but wants me to do a full interior detail like every other day. If it wasnt treated like a rolling trash can, i might be more inclined.
 
Thats so funny. My wife also knows I spend ALOT of time on my car. I mean its pretty darn clean! I spend alot of time on my car for many reasons..sometimes it

just allows me some alone time to sort out my worries. Sometimes its just i need some instant gratification. And sometimes its just plain old selfisness. But I try to

Ha, my wife the other day "can you clean my truck inside and out?". Haha. Did a full detail on it a couple of weeks ago and polished it with Menzies super finish and a coat power lock. Going to give it a coat of 845 in a week!
 
In order to get my wife to support my hobby, I have to keep her car as clean as mine. She has even stopped taking it to the swirl-o-matic car wash because now she can see swirls from a mile away.
 
Guys I married up! This is after 46 years of marriage and the following is totally true.

We both have been car people, but only since retirement have we had the total time to devote to keeping the cars in pristine shape. She [and my sister in her 70's] do their own detailing, claying and buffing after I have helped them, only helped them with the DA. They do their own interiors, seats, and wheels, usually every 2 weeks. They keep the car clean after rains, keep them up with QD'ers [they love the concept of a sacrifice barrier] They travel together on trips, alternating cars and keep the bugs off at days end, use the washless methods and simply are on top of these two cars. Friday is Bimmer day here and they will do theirs, while I work the Z4 over. I am a BLESSED man...and they love to point out any flaws on mine. As JimmyS said, it's a great life. The above is all true...had to add all this...and hope I have not ruined someone's day. :props:
 
I came home from work yesterday to find our new puppy had puked all over the back seat off my wife's car. she made a deal with me, i clean the interior of her car like i clean mine, and then i can have dinner. lol food is an effective incentive! :)
 
Hmmm. Do I clean the wifes car? Well, since I started this obsession I decided it was in my best interest to do hers as well as my own. So far it has worked.
 
I have worked my girlfriends car twice since I worked my car last... Im no dummy either. All kidding aside she is always really appreciative of all I do for her and she never expects me to do. I actually really enjoy doing it for her.
 
I have found that the INCENTIVES from my wife for cleaning her car FAR excede the time and effort it takes me to detail her vehicle.
