My Bissell Little Green Method

I did it, haha. Here's one of our recent project for a client this past week. A race-spec Acura RSX. It has just been in a weekend race charity event, and it was a rainy day, so the need for some tender loving care was definitely there.

We gave it our "Triple Fanwaxtic" package treatment, along with carpet shampooing.

Here are some pictures of the floor mats:

Getting started with my Bissell Auto Pro-Heat... Really agitating the surface a few times and getting all the solution out of the fibers.

Now here we go, putting the 'detail lines' in the carpet haha, I always do this at home too :)

I didn't get a good picture of the water, but it literally looked like coffee, and this was basically a 'clean' car to the naked eye - just goes to show you!

Awesome! For some reason, I really like shampooing cars, maybe it's because of the instant satisfaction!

How do you like your droid 4?

How do you like your droid 4?

How did you know I have the Droid 4? I got it on the day it was released, I am a BIG tech guy, I'm obsessed. I really enjoy it, it's not perfect, but it's amazing. 4G is SICK, and the keyboard is something I need. I can do 99% of everything I can do on a laptop.

I looked at your FXIF data on your photos. This is what the last image tells me:

Camera Maker: motorola
Camera Model: DROID4

Digital Zoom: 1.000x

Flash Fired: Yes (Auto, return light detected)
Orientation: Normal
Color Space: sRGB
GPS Coordinate: undefined, undefined

Also, if you had geo tagging on it would of told me your exact cordinates as well.

I'm also a tech guy and my first smartphone was the Rezound. I am so glad I didn't get one before, because I would hate 3g as it's so slow! Rooting it really makes it fun :)

Haha, good thing I have GPS tagging disabled ;) That's really cool you can tell all that from a picture.

By the way, 4G truly is everything it's cracked up to be.

I dig the jordan flip flops lol

It's a trade secret, HAHA! :)

How hot do the water get in the heater, I am buying a BLG but it does not have a heater in it. If i put hot water in the machine do you think itll work?

It says it gets 25 degrees hotter than whatever temperature water you put in. I carry buckets of water with me at about room temperature and it gets about as hot as bath water. You can put already hot water in. I don't because I don't have a hot water supply wile I'm out on the job. If I were you, I would get the pro heat version.

You should never scrub a stain but agitate. The best way to remove a stain is hot soapy water and hammer like agitation. Let me explain but first some background.

I have removed stains from carpet that a professional steam cleaning extractor could not even do with harsh dry-clean chemicals. (I was told the stain would never come out). While professional extractors have their place these cheap machines (like the Bissell) are pretty useless (not hot enough and poor suction) if you have a ShopVac and a steam machine.

GENERAL CARPET CLEANING

Presoak carpet using your favorite carpet cleaning solution. I usually presoak the entire carpet area at once. The presoak will loosen dirt and gunk and add a clean pleasant scent. Next section off areas like you would if polishing the exterior. Steam the entire area until you have a good saturation but not soaking. Use the ShopVac to suck up the water. This will get you a better shampoo then a cheap extractor and save your money until you buy a real cleaner if needed. Next step stain removal.

STAIN REMOVAL

Most people clean and approach stains all wrong. Scrubbing only embeds the stain further. Some stains are un-removable but I have taken out old blood and wine stains. First presoak (as above), then steam the area (If you don’t have one super-hot water) . Next get a brush and a cloth. Wrap the cloth around the brush bristles. Take the covered brush and firmly hammer the brush into the stain but no scrubbing. This sounds crazy but the brush will push the cloth into the fibers and absorb and lift the stain out. Next vacuum or towel dry the area. Repeat as needed and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

how can u say the Bissell is useless... espcially after seeing actual results? lol obviously its not useless and it nets results.

Please read what I wrote. "cheap machines (like the Bissell) are pretty useless (not hot enough and poor suction) if you have a ShopVac and a steam machine. " This was to point out if you have these items a bissel is a waste of money. Actually If you only use it once or twice renting a carpet cleaning machine is even a better decision.

I as well get great result with my Bissell auto heat. And Folex Great combo

You can't ever go wrong with Folex. freaking magical stuff. I have a Sandia extractor that the heating element died on and is $200 to buy. so I usually use Folex and my 7242XP with a Cyclo brush attachment and I get astonishing results

This was done with the folex and PC with brush attachment and my no heat extractor

Nice results!
I've got the Folex
I've got the PC
I've got the Brush Attachment

No extractor though :(

I' definitely want to try the Bissell LGM

I have been seeing the Bissell Little Green for as low as $60 at Target recently. Definitely a powerful machine for the cost and combined with Folex it is great for most jobs. I have one floating around in my garage still for small odd jobs.

I've never seen a BLG in that color.

I used to always buy the pro-heat but it would only last about a year but I'm going to try the method of not putting solution in the tank, only hot water. Right now my version isn't a pro-heat.
