Hey fellas.. Since my girl got the Subaru Tribeca..Ive been trying my best to keep the car clean and well maintained so that is how i got into detailing.. And i think ive gone a little to overboard but if im going to start detailing, im going to do it right and get the best products and tools I can afford.. well i think investing on a good detailing products will help and keep the car's paint and trims looking brand new and glossy wet, better than how you it came out from the dealer..
First off let me introduce you to my Collection...

you can see alot of high quality microfiber towels that.. BLUE with red seamless ends towel will be for drying the paint and the light blue with dark blue seamless ends will be my buffing and polishing. Lime green will be use for washing the car and i have different polishing pads such as 7inches cutting pad, buffing pad with the counterweight and attachment for the porter cable, i have 4 inches pads for small areas and weird angles including the attachments. I have CLAY BAR with lubricant from Chemical guys, chemical guys citruswash that will be used for washing and foaming the car and chemical guys EZ creme glaze used after polishing or sealant depending on the steps you take.

I have also a couple of brushes that ill be using for polish residues or wax residues

P21S is my favorite also because its one of the best wax that will give your car glossy but the downfall is it doesnt last long so its really good when showing off your car or going to a meet..

misc. products like LEXOL for leather cleaner and proctectant, pinnacle polishing pad cleaner and conditioner. Its very essential to maintain polishing pads in good condition because this is whats going to be used to buff or polish the car. Also i have BLITZ wax that is very easy to use and apply.. Meguiars NXT is ok.. this is most common product you see at AUTOZONE and ive used it before and didnt get good results because i didnt have the complete tools to detail a car..Ill give it a shot and see its durability and shine..

This is my buffer polisher machine.. if you are scared to use rotary buffers and burn the paint, this is an excellent product to use for beginners and intermediate and even professionals. Ive heard nothing but good reviews..obviously this is not being used at the body shop due to its time consuming because it takes more time to cut or polish but it will not burn your paint..

ahh.. my foam gun.. this will benefit me alot cause it will basically spray foam suds onto the car and left for 5min. to let it work and loosens the dirt and grime..

Menzerna(german products) i want to get one of the best polishing agent, Intensive polish has some slight abrasions to remove swirl marks and some scratches and final polish removes marring and gives the car that shine, and 3M glaze is applied after sealant applied or final polish, it has no abrasions but will fill the imperfections thats left and also gives a nice natural deep gloss look.

i got all these stuff from: CHEMICALGUYS
A lot of professional detailers use their item especially JETSEAL

couple of notes :

blue/red towels -- not the best for drying, get a Waffle Weave MF. These are best for quick detailing.

P21S -- Wheel cleaner rocks, soap sucks, and when you get a chance pickup the new 100% carnauba wax from them, its wetter looking and a better show stopper.

Menzerna -- whats up with the little bottles, seriously we carry the product straight from Germany. I highly suggest 106 FF when time and money permits.

really the blue/red towels are not good? so what do i use them for? i need something for drying..

ive notice that the p21s soap doesnt produce enough suds..

oh btw, where can i get the WAFFLE WEAVE MF? .. is that the SONUS ?

Pretty much all microfiber companies make a waffle weave towel, cobra (available here at AG) included.

did you get my PM?

yes i got your PM... Its funny how he said that the blue/red towels arent good because i felt the same way.. it felt funny, i mean it wasnt like the other blue towels i have that are super soft..

well I dont really know much about those towels, but most people prefer a waffle weave towel for drying, they can absorb alot of water. I can dry my entire car and then some with one towel, easily.

You bought a pretty well rounded collection of stuff there, your gonna have fun playing with it all :)

Great collection I like the ## hyper wash, mothers for exterior a little watery for me it runs. I use merzerns P106ff like it alot. The guzzler is a must have. Just my opinion.:righton:

"And i think ive gone a little to overboard". Nah, if you stay on this forum. a year from now you'll have at least twice as much stuff. LOL
Welcome aboard.

Is sonus a good microfiber towel...

i totally agree with you because im pretending to put items on my cart and just want to hit the BUY button...

Love the mf towel Chemical guys has. But I don't know about jetseal. Cause the durability is not good. Yeah the ultimate guzzler is what I love using on my G35 or my moms Hummer H3

I think P21 wax [or S100 for those of us on a budget ;-) ] is good to have on your shelf. I really like the results you get after applying just one coat.

Great line-up of stuff! Seeing your photos reminded me of when I went to the hardware store and bought the largest plastic tool tote that they had to keep my car-related products in. When I got home and started filling it up, I realized that I should have bought a wagon!

That's one hell of a collection to start!! I would agree with getting a ww for drying (another great tool is a leaf blower or air pressure from an air compressor if you've got one). The only thing you've got there that I do and don't like that much is the Mothers back to black. I wish I had known about black wow. I also have jetseal and prefer DG 105. i use my JS for wheels now. I always preceed it with 601 b/c I can AW right after without having cure time. The 601/105/Aw combo is killer..it really is. You will find half the fun is trying stuff out for yourself. As far as hobbies go, this one is very addictive for the products but also very rewarding. I've got a 400 watt stereo in my garage and I always smoke a stogie doing a detail job..nothing beats it!!!!

Killrwheels has hit the nail on the head with the waffle weave towels, it's the only way to go along with a leaf blower. AG store has some of the best WW towels available any where, take a peek when you get a chance.
And Killr I must admit I have a couple of those small Menzerna bottles bought before I had ever heard of AG. Of course all my newer Menzerna comes only from AG:D

thank you guys... im so noob at detailing and definitely learning alot from everybody.. thanks for the warm welcome and ill update you guys with my detailing

sorry ... friday night is family night.

The Blue/Red towels are not bad, they just dont hold water the way a WW does. I highly suggest the Cobra Guzzler or newer foam core Guzzler.
