I agree, I would at least call the police and report the hit and run, be careful with the gun though, your the victum until you pull the gun on her,plus we dont need to give the anti-gun nuts more ammo

I guess as an update to this.....I decided to live with the damage since it's not really noticeable. However, I took advice from many of my friends, and being that what she did was illegal, I had her make a claim. I told her we can do it the hard way by me making a police report with the surveillance video and submitting that as well to her insurance. Here in Tx it stays on your record for up to 10yrs and no sensible insurance will take you after your current one drops you, plus the fines. Then there's the easy way, where I could be nice , in which she'd get on her phone immediately and file the claim. She did and we both gave our statements in the same phone call. We both told them she left a note with her info. Called on the following Friday after the accident, her adjuster came on Monday to my work, check was made to me by Friday. Total Damage was $561. They also gave me a voucher for 3 days worth of rental from Enterprise. I guess I can use them for next weeks Vacation. I'm not too mad anymore!!

With the Money I put in a really nice order during the Detail Fest sale, and also bought 22ple's Pro coating............and I went to my Vinyl guy today so he can make me one of these.........

True story Bobby. She'd probably be furious if the same thing happened to her. Accidents happen, but have the decency to fess up to it, I'd be a lot less angry.

OP, I'd be filing an insurance claim, especially with that webbing the bumper. At least the damage didnt end in a "total loss"

WJinLV, i think a lot of states are (well were) adopting the castle doctrine where you are allowed to protect your property as well. I think PA just passed that in the last 4 or 5 years. Sadly though, one guy from my church had his car stolen about 10 years ago and as the guy was backing out of the driveway, the guy from my church shot and killed him. He was arrested and thrown in jail for a few years because of it.
 
Not sure if I mentioned this before in here, but when I had my Mazda3, I was beginning to wash it one day and noticed that someone had rubbed their car against my rear bumper on the left side and made all sorts of rub marks and scratches. I was pretty damn mad. I was somehow able to touch them up to where everything blended in alright. Must be because the car was gray, I don't know. I had that car for 6 years and didn't have any big door dings or scratches from neighbors or other cars. I had a neighbor who always asked me how I managed to not get door dings, lol. Personally, I don't care if I park next to a beater or a BMW, I don't want my doors hitting their car, and I don't want them doing the same. I tend to park where nobody else parks, though, even if it means I gotta walk a few extra feet.

DAMN! Well, I must say, the thief deserved it. Why couldn't he just go through life EARNING the things he wanted? Ever since I've been out of school and working since 2005, I've earned my money, saved it, etc. and I buy the things I want. Living a crime-free life ain't hard, so when people get killed while they're robbing someone of their own property, I don't feel bad one bit.
 
Glad to see criminals getting what they deserve. A month or two ago there was a carjacking spree in town. One home owner heard noises in his front yard late at night. He grabbed his gun to check on it and spotted two guys in his car. He shot one killing him, and shot the other trying to drive off, not sure if that one lived. Needles to say, not too many carjackings lately. Sooner or later the sprees will start up again. It only takes one brave homeowner to set an example and scare the criminals away, making it safer for the community as a whole. Owning a gun for defense isn't for everyone though. Before you buy one you need to get it in your mind that one day you will possibly need to put it to use and possibly injure or kill a bad guy. If you can't comprehend that then don't buy it, because a criminal won't blink to use it against you. Gun safety should always be exercised, especially if you're living with kids.
