So while I'm away my Dad picks up my PC to polish his boat. He uses the white Pad with NuFinish then the Blue pad with NuFinish Scratch Doctor. I told him that was sooooo wrong. He says he cleaned the pads. Do you think I could clean my blue pad good enough and still use it to apply my carnuba wax or should I toss it and get a new pad. I really don't want to make a purchase of just one pad. I'm sure the white pad is fine after I wash it real get with XMT cleaner since I use that pad for polishes any way. What do you all think?

Thanks,

tell him that the PC is not a toy and if he dont know how to use it dont touch it. tell him that he ruined your pads and he owes you a new pads.

parents love to say it but dont follow it " if its not yours dont touch it"

If my son said that to me I would send him a bill for 18 years of room and board. LOL.

If you have DP polishing pad rejuvenator, or XMT pad cleaner, you should be able to clean that pad.

at 16.00 or less for new pad, consider it money well spent and give dad a quick lesson on polishing before sealant.

I think theres a nice way to put everything, and thats not one. It was an honest mistake. Sometimes us autogeeks are so good at what we do, we make detailing look easy to others:awesome:

It's your dad, take it easy on the man.

Yeah.. Sounds like a good time for a quick lesson. But trust me, I wouldn't be mad if my dad were to pick it up and start trying to use it.. In all honesty, I'd probably tell him to keep it if he would use it and I would just buy me another one.. And I'm sure he would do the same for me if the tables were turned..

If you don't feel safe using the pad.. Dont toss it.. They work great around the house..
