First off, let me say I'm a hater of not posting before and afters, or even 50/50's for that matter... but I'm going to hate on myself this time.. I didn't capture any before of afters but the results blew me away so I had to share.

First of, I've been emailing Nick from Prima for the past week. I bet we've exchanged as many as 40 emails back and forth. All hours of the day and night and even weekends! You will not find a better guy in the industry. Extremely friendly and willing to answer any questions!! Even if his products didn't perform the way they do (and they perform AMAZING), I could buy off of him because of his support and personality. Big Props :props:

Now here is what set Nick apart to me. Is he is 100 percent truthful about that his products will and will not do.. He doesn't not promise on items he cannot deliver... so here is my progress with trying out his line..

This SUV is a 2010 Kia and as you can see it was black. We are still in the middle of winter in Ohio so the owner wanted a wash and full interior. Steamed, extracted and dressed.. nothing too special.. The owner is a great friend of mine so I thought I was throw a few products at it on the house to see what results I could come up with.

I placed an order for Banana Gloss, Epic and Amigo.

I worked the Amigo in using a flex on 3.5 using a LC White Pad, and the Amigo almost falls off the panel it wipes off so easy. I like I said before, the paint was a bit of wreck but I have no photos to prove it.
After the Amigo, I coated this side using Banana Gloss.

According to Nick, I asked if using Amigo was needed after doing a complete full correction of the panel instead of counting on the fillers to help with appearance, and his answer was spot on
"As for Amigo, we used to do quite a bit training back in the day. We would do a full correction and talk about the look. Then we would crack into Amigo and it would always look better. When I was prototyping it, I would say, "Damn, I didn't think it would look better. You're like my best friend." So I named the product Amigo."

So I took the hood, hit is with a Flex on 6 with an Orange LC pad using BlackFire SRC followed up by Blackfire Polish on a White LC Pad. Just to put the limits I did a IPA wipe down and his the surface with SF4500 on a Black finishing Pad to finish to the max. The Surface looked amazing followed by a Car Pro Eraser to inspect. Swirl free and glossy.

So then came the test and again I should have snap pictures, I worked the Amigo in using a black finish pad on a GG DA using a black finish pad, and it made a difference you could see. Gloss just went through the roof. Topped with Epic and wiped off after an hour to cure.

So on the left side, I work Amigo in using the Flex with a White LC pad again, but this time topped with Epic. Again dripping wet look!

Now I understand there is not a product on the market that will ever take the place of a full correction for long term results. But man, I was truly impressed with his products and will contuine to use them. I will try to get some day light shots today and update the thread.

I'm going to have to order Cut, Swirl, and Finish and for sure HydroMax. I will do a full write up with the products and great before and after pictures.. Stay tuned.

in the mean time.. Prima/Nick - Couldn't be happier :dblthumb2::dblthumb2::dblthumb2::dblthumb2:

Amigo is the best there is for what it does. Infinity is tops, too.

I've been using Prima products for a long time now and I agree with you completely. Nick and Heather are amazing people and their products speak for themselves.

Hydro hooked me, the rest sealed the deal.

Thumbs up for prima great products.. Try mixing hydro wax with hydro seal.. For a great looking car.

Another vote for Prima. Great products, great support, made in the USA.
I think I have about 8 of their products.

I have used their for several years now and they never disappoint. Very solid line of products

I found some users on UK forums but nothing in the states. .. I'm just going to pull the trigger and order them.. If they are like the rest of my experience, I'm sure they rock....
Mike Phillips did an extreme makeover using swirl, finish and banana gloss.

Nick or Heather might chime in on your amigo question..

I've used Swirl and Finish for the first time recently. They have long working time, no dusting, and clean up easily. A pro detailer named Richard Lin (based in southern CA I believe) uses Prima polishes quite a lot so you might look him up. Many of his posts are on a mini cooper forum.

When I was first considering Prima products, I could only find very positive reviews and not very many. That made me hesitate a bit, but I'm glad I ended up buying some and giving them a try. There truly seems to be no good reason so few people use Prima.

Maybe that could be their new company slogan:
Prima Products...no good reason so few people use them!

Very nice. Do you know if Prima (polishes/compounds) are available in larger than 16oz sizes? I checked AG and they only offer 16oz. if I saw it correctly. Thanks

Thanks for the review. I didn't realize I was going on the record. :-)

Amigo with an orange pad will remove the skankiest of oxidation. I don't really know if it will pull off a coating.

Amigo is our world-wide best seller. You will find significantly more talk about Amigo on the European forums.

Prima is intended for the hobbyist user, so we don't package the polishes in larger sizes. It is simply because the "typical" user just doesn't need that much polish. We do special runs for our Australian retailer in larger sizes. His business model is inclusive of professional detailers so he special orders the big sizes.

Wow...I read this entire thread thinking you had used Presta Products. Glad I caught that.

So glad to see Prima getting some well deserved credit and attention! I've been using these products for over 10 years, and consider Nick and Heather friends. They are both great people, VERY knowledgeable, and they are more than willing to share what they know.

Prima is a great line of products for the hobbyist, but I know of a lot of professionals that also swear by it! It works extremely well, yet is incredibly easy to use!

Lately, I have been using Hydro Max for my sealer, and maintain it with Hydro in between my twice yearly details. OK. Sometimes 3 times, but it's because it looks so good when I'm done! Depending on the correction needed (especially after winter), I'll start with clay, then use either Finish or Swirl to polish. I occasionally skip the Amigo step and go straight to the Hydro Max, but Amigo gives the dark paint on my car so much more depth! It's worth the extra few minutes, if you aren’t feeling lazy.

Does Amigo mute metal flake much? I've seen in some of the UK reviews it tends to darken paint, but all the examples seem to have been on non-metallic paint.

My cars tend to stay in pretty good condition with only very fine swirls from being daily drivers. I was looking at Blackfire GEP as a solution to clean/glaze/touch up the paint when no correction is needed, but recently stumbled across Amigo. It seems to do just as well, for slightly less money so I'm very curious on how it performs.

In my experience with Amigo on my truck (07' Black Sand Pearl Tacoma) all it did was give a deeper shine. When you put a light on the paint the metallic is still very noticeable. I find Amigo give the paint the last extra pop in non-direct light but does not interfere with metallic. Amigo is definitely one of my favorite products! Especially with darker paint colors.

Last week I ordered Prima Amigo Pre-Wax Cleanser & Gloss Enhancer. Fantastic stuff!! matter-of-fact, I washed some of my friends vehicles then do a fast buff with a DA buffer and it blows their mind one hour later! To see the difference with the beautiful finish.

One day, I'm in a go ahead and use it on my car and top it off with some BFWD.
