I tried cleaning up the lights on my fiances G35 for the first time. I need some advice on how to get the haze off. From what I understand, I have to polish them out some more. Is this correct? You can see it when the lights are on. This was a quick attempt so next time I will take my job & work slow.

Looks like you need a finer polish and/or pad combo to finish it off. What were you using before and how many passes did you make? Also, don't forget to seal those things when you get done so the haze doesn't come back.

I wet sanded them with 2000 & used a cordless drill with 4" orange pad & some SSR2.5. Made a couple of passes on them, then finished with PB Final Polish. I was in a hurry so I didn't get to take my time. I will again this weekend so that I will have more time. What do you recomend to use to seal them? Anything over the counter at a local parts store?

Use a finishing pad and something like SSR1 or Menz Nano or Final to get rid of the haze. It is also easier to finish without any holograms in soft plastic with a PC or other orbital polisher. I always use Plexus on my headlights but I know other guys that use 303, DP PlexAll and paint sealants (Klasse, DGPS, etc.). You can also get dedicated sealers from AG in the kits they have or stop in to your local parts store and see what they have.

So I can use Plexus as a sealant? Also, with SSR1 is it best to use it with a white pad? I have SSR2.5, SSR1 & PB Professional Polish. This is the pad kit I bought.
CCS Spot Buffs 4 Inch Foam Pad Kit Free Bonus!

I plan on getting a PC in a couple of weeks so till then I have to use my cordless drill.

Plexus it what I use but I'm sure others here have their favorites. As far as the pads go, you can use the white pad with SSR1 but I would probably use the grey or blue pad with SSR1 to see if they would work first.

You are not trying to cut anything at this stage but just trying to put a high polish on the surface.
