Hey Everyone!

Hope all are doing well. I was recently asked to do a detail on a speedboat that a warehouse in Ft. Lauderdale due to be sold. Despite a decade of car detailing, I have never done a boat/gel coat. However, I figured how hard could it be? Promptly jumped on AG and ordered some Marine 31 products and proceeded to do work. No real before photos due to time constraints but I hope you enjoy nonetheless.

Very good job on this. Boats can be time consuming but the white helps hide fine marks where the black sections can show a lot. Scratches usually are deeper on boats also. I owned a Velocity Powerboat 42' several years back (hence the name) and it was a pain. Took the time to do some friends boats also, but not to the same degree. Very good job sir.

Wow, great job with that! Must have taken awhile, that's a lot of gelcoat! Great work! :xyxthumbs:

Yea I gave it a once over w/ ONR wash and poorboys bold n bright on tires. Nothing crazy, just enough work on all the proper areas to get the boat sold. Both the former owner and new owner were in awe off the cleanliness of it. New owner pulled out a pad and paper to write down 'Marine 31' & 'autogeek.net'. Good times

The power of the afters is in the befores

So true...

But as important as it is, time is money. For some of my last few detail jobs charging by the hour I didn't take a break for before pictures or during pictures.

Sometimes, if you're starting early in the morning without the sun you might not get good before shots anyways.

The power in the after shots is created in the before shots and since it's not always possible, I just appreciate it when they are taken.
