I purchased my first materials at a local auto detail shop today. I got soap, wheel cleaner, all purpose, and few other things. I am brand new to the detailing business.

Now im searching for a wet/dry vac, pressure washer etc.. I spent about $92.

Make plans on getting a good DA or a polisher what ever you prefer and some compounds, polishes, waxes etc. I wish you the best and remember to always put God in first place, He will bless your business.
God Bless you brother!!!!

Good advice given here:dblthumb2:

As said try and get you a DA, you can start by buying Ultimate Compound and Ultimate Polish by Meguiars until you learn, the more you learn then you can move up to a more aggressive compound if needed and a good polish like m205 or whatever you think is best for your needs.

Either way you came to the right place, you'll learn so much about detailing.
Good luck:dblthumb2:

Looks like your ready to wash some cars! Hang around here long and you'll need a bus to haul around all your supplies ;-)

They had waxes. Compounds etc but I didnt want to buy any until I found a buffer..

What brands should I look out for? I can get a cheap one at harbor freight or find a decent used one.

Well, if your planning on doing this for a business I'd highly suggest something like the Flex 3401 (or similar). I have a PC, a Griots Da, and a Flex 3401. The Flex gets the job done quickly where as you can spend for....ev.....er using the others. If your just messing around in your basement it doesn't matter but time is money when your doing it for $.

I plan on making some money and doing this for a while. But I dont want to get ahead of myself and buy something crazy expensive.

Any feedback on a black & decker polisher?

Im going to try some craiglist hunting.

I use that Franks cleaner and just started using the Wheelie Clean after a friend showed me how good it worked. Good stuff man and good luck!

Haha good to hear. Glad the stuff is alright then. Im looking forward to it.
