Willow, what product/s did you use for that shine? Very well done indeed! Paint looks stellar as well! Definitely looking forward to seeing more. I may have some projects this winter, as I live near the dragon and have a huge two wheeled community to cater too! I have done a few bikes, but very very impressed at how that bike turned out!

Thanks for any insight!

Awesome turnaround! Great attention to detail - can hardly tell it's the same bike.:applause:

Detail Oriented LLC and oneheadlight, thanku very much!

Well to start off, I used S100 Total Cycle Clean. I was Very impressed with how it was able to just spray on, and then with a jet spray of water just blow off any of the dirt and grime in the nooks and crannys on the bike as well as the facing parts as well.

I felt this product saved A lot of time, and cleaned Very Well.

As for chrome and aluminum polishing, I didn't have enough time to buy from Autogeek, so I had to go with whatever was at the auto stores. I went with a combination of Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish, followed by Blue Magic All Metal Polish.

All painted surfaces were polished with Ultimate Polish and then topped with WGDGPS 3.0

All coated rubber wires were cared for with WETS Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant.

All Black engine parts were sprayed down with S100 Engine Brightener which is a Terrific product!

And that's about it! Thanks again for the kind words guys!

Thanks for the heads up on the supplies!
Really looking forward to trying the s100 products, and see that many people agree they are essential to cleaning a motorcycle.

Hand polish or machine? I presume some of the structures, such as the rear view mirrors would be hard to apply much pressure to without a hand to stabilize.

Very well done sir!

I was a little doubtful using the S100's for the first time, but they are the real deal.

It was all by hand. I only have 6" pads right now, and I didn't feel I could maneuver around the small surface areas to well.

My next buy will be the Mothers mini and large ball to get those parts in the future though.

What did you end up doing with the tires?

Used the old trusty M37 Tire and Rubber Rejuvenator. No dressings or protectants though! Everyone says that is total bad news on the bikes. I'll post the tires here soon.

On what exact parts did you use the Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish? And how'd you like the product?

Well, I felt it worked fine, though I felt it took some effort to wipe it off. That could have been, because I used too much product. I used it on the tail pipe and its connected parts, and on some of those chrome side pans. But after that, I wanted to give that Blue Magic a try, and that's what really set that mirror like shine off. And it was Very easy to remove. So I just used the Blue Magic on the rest of, and on ALL, metal non painted parts.

That stuff worked Awesome. But I have Some questions about it. When you open the can it smells like 100% ammonia. Super potent! It made me gag, and I'm not really sensitive to smells.

So I don't know what the heck they use in that stuff.

It has a number of warnings listed on the cap About skin contact and other stuff. But Amazon still has like 300 good reviews on it.

Oh, I meant what parts of the motorcycle were aluminum.. Because you're not supposed to use the Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish on chrome or coated metals i.e. OEM wheels etc.
The Mothers is for bare metals only. Chrome polish is for chrome.
