Alright this is my 5.0 Mustang. My first paint correction
Duragloss wash
Clay magic with ONR lube
Optimum foam gun it
m105
m205
BFWD
And my Flex 3401
This is the roof 26 year old single staged paint that as far as I know has never been waxed or anything, and its had lots of sun. Its very hazy. Those are regular light bulbs and look how hazy the reflection is, I had to take care of that.

Another shot of it with the hologens, to the left is my t tops and the faded part is roof.
Scottsdetailing009.jpg

The lights kinda shining in the camera a little much but heres some of the reflection afterwards, the left is the roof and on the right is the hatch, look how good you can see the reflection now, it went from being a faded white spot to now you can actually see the outline of the bulb and everything, now I can read reflections off of signs in the garage so I'd say this was a huge improvement.

Heres the 26 year old paint agian, no reflection, just the faded lights
Scottsdetailing015.jpg

Here it is after, now you can see everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A 50/50 on the t top trim. I thought this paint was just dull forever cuz I even 303d it a while ago and it didn't improve it, so I thought it was just gonna be dull. Turns out my Flex brought it shining which was Saweet.

Here are finished pix
Ah reflection, very nice, all the swirls and dullness gone
ScottsDetailingDone001.jpg

See no swirls
ScottsDetailingDone002.jpg

The reflection I thought was impossible to get

ScottsDetailingDone009.jpg

Shiney, I'm entertained
ScottsDetailingDone010.jpg

This is what shocks me a lot, from so dull to so shiney look you can even read my license plate number upside down in the bumper haha.

Tell me what you think guys, for my first car I was really very happy.

Sweet job and now that you have the bug for detailing look up Mike Phillips on how to feed that single stage paint with meg #7 glaze

I like that body style. You did a great job :props:

Is that factory paint?

Thanks guys, I figured that would make a good first post haha.

The paint where I said it was 26 years old is original, like the roof and the hatch and the passenger rear and the rear too, but the rest has been repainted.

I got the pads and Flex from AutoGeek so thanks Mike, and your shipping was awesome everything got here like 3 days after I ordered.

My thanks to all you guys here for all your information.

:welcome: To Autogeek Online!

Someone's got a new Mustang! :props:

For the first time you've done a spectacular job!! :dblthumb2:

Yes, you are now officially hooked....

Looks great! I liked the 50/50 picture, really shows what a machine and technique can do. Also maybe you want to tape up the car next time, because cleaning in between the trims is a pain in the butt.

Nice save. I always like seeing this kind of post instead of "I just detailed my 2011 something-or-other"...big deal.:dunno:

try a wool pad to start with next time you have one that bad then go to the foam pad .will cut your time in 1/2 looks good

Thanks guys, yeh I thought about taping it off I guess that was one of my "rookie" mistakes LoL.

And my car is slick as snot now, I put the bfwd bottle on the spoiler, which is practically level and it slid down to the bottom supa slick.

Yeh man I was thinking about that, I made about 6 passes with the orange and 3-6 passes with the white depending on where it was.

With the wool will I just go over it once with moderate pressure then like 3 times with the orange? I know every cars different but whats the average?

How many passes with the wool, and how much pressure?
How many passes with the orange, and how much pressure
How many passes with the white, and how much pressure?

My Ranger is next so Id like to know LoL

Thanks guys.
