I want to thank everyone at AG and AGO that made this possible. A month ago I didn't no crap about detailing and I think I got pretty good results for my first run. You guys rock!!

The products used were XMT3, XMT1, XMT Glaze, Poor Boys Natty's Blue, Wizards Spray and Shine, and Megs Gold for the tires.

I would love to hear any tips you guys might have that would let me do a better job next time.

Sorry that the before pics suck, I started last night and it was raining out and my garage has terrible lighting.

The question I have now, is what do you Mustang drivers use to clean the honey comb in your hood and side scoops? Those things were full of powder when I was done.

Spray some QDer and use a soft a brush........:)

Judgeing soley(sp?) on the very last pic (rest are to far away and small to veiw really well) it came out great it looks wet and deep the way black should look. As for the honeycomb try and pop them out and clean them thoroughly, or mix up some soap/h2o and a soft brush and go to town.

Awesome, outstanding job! On the honeycomb, use a 2 inch paint brush!

First, get rid of that honey comb grill and get a Mach 1 delete kit. Then pick up some 303 Aerospace Protectant. I just used it on a Lexus I detailed that had some plastic side skirts and it worked great! You can also use it on a bunch of other stuff.

Been, meaning to get a the Grill delete. But you know how it is with Mustangs -always another aftermarket part to buy. I think it needs new wheels more than anything else -so that is next.

Tell me bout it. My modding has finally started to slow down. But only because Im getting into the big stuff now such as built tranny, built short block, and heads. Its a never ending project.

Good job! Looks great, especially for your first time! Very impressive.

Can someone explain what a Mach 1 delete kit is? Where does one got it? My mother's stang has that same honeycomb fake grill and I have never been able to make it look good.

The Mach 1 delete kit is the same front grill that a Mach 1 has. You can find them http://www.steeda.ca/catalogue_product_type_524.asp Man the price has gone up on these things. They use to be around $50 three years ago.

Does that also replace the little fake vent that is in the center of the hood? this is on a 2000 Mustang.

Nope just the front grill.

As long as we are on the topic. Anyone ever seen a mustang with the plastic in the hood scoop replaced with billet? Been thinking about doing that but I can never find decent pics of anyones car, to give me an idea of what it will look like.
