I've been lurking around here for a LONG time. Sure, I could've made my first post a comment in someone else's thread like "holy crap, that's awesome." There are enough pros on here showing their work that I could've done that a lot. But, I figured my first post should have some pictures of what I've learned from reading and observing the amazing information on this website.

I've been into detailing for about 6 years now, ever since I bought this in 2006:

I loved that car, but RWD and summer tires didn't cut it here in NY. (I wasn't going to buy snow tires for a short term lease.) I swore it would be my last black car. Even taking care of it, I saw swirls after a year.

So, when the lease was up, I kept it in the family:

Silver...much easier to take care of.

Then the economy started to tank, and I was worried about the future. I figured leasing a new car every couple of years wasn't worth it. So I bought this:

My first white car, and single-stage paint at that. It was hard to feel great about working hard on that car--it just didn't give back enough reward paint-wise.

Things turned around, and even though I wasn't car shopping, my wife and kids got tired of hearing how much I wanted to buy a convertible, so they made me trade in the honda for this at the end of July:

Which brings me to today. After a few weeks of washing and applying BFWD--ultimately four coats. 2 weeks ago, I put some P21S Carnauba on top and loved the result. Today was the second application, and I'm amazed at the results. Sorry about no before pictures--it looked pretty good before--lol.

Other than what I listed above, I used CG Honey Dew Snow foam in my foam gun, then two bucket wash with CG Glossworkz. Wheels done by my son (smaller hands) with another 2 bucket set and some Glossworkz, followed by Poorboy's wheel sealant and then some PB Bold n' Bright--all by my son (cost me $15 for that and his help making sure I got all the wax off--but totally worth it). Here you go:

This one is crazy to me:

As you can see I was more interested in showing the work than showing the car.
